IPOH-Seorang mekanik Keling dijatuhkan hukuman denda RM 20,000 atau dipenjara selama satu bulan kerana memukul seekor anjing dengan batang besi sehingga mengakibatkan kematian haiwan tidak berdosa itu.

M Thineshkumar, 23 tahun mengaku bersalah melakukan jenayah terhadap anjing itu di Taman Arkid, Ipoh. Tindakan lelaki Keling ini jelas menujukkan tiada rasa empati terhadap binatang.

Pertuduhan ke atas pemuda Keling itu dikemukakan mengikut Seksyen 29(1)(a) Akta Kebajikan Haiwan 2015 (Akta 772) yang memperuntukkan hukuman denda tidak kurang RM20,000 dan maksimum RM100,000 atau penjara tidak lebih tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya.

Lelaki Keling itu juga didakwa mengugut ibunya.
