Reborn Battle Royale – June 29 Update

The story continues to unfold.

Today’s update brings a new weapon to the island, environmental changes, and the next phase of the Eclipse Protocol storyline as the corruption reaches a critical point.

🌑 Storyline Progression

Over the past several days, the corruption has continued to spread but something unexpected has happened.

Scientists monitoring the island have discovered that the corruption is no longer expanding on its own. Instead, it’s being directed.

Shortly after sunrise, multiple surveillance stations intercepted a series of encrypted transmissions originating from beneath the island. Although most of the messages were corrupted, one line was successfully recovered:

“Phase Two authorized. Prepare the Core.”

No records exist of a “Core,” and no known faction has claimed responsibility for the broadcasts.

Meanwhile, seismic activity has increased near several abandoned research facilities. Strange cracks have begun forming across the island, emitting faint pulses of purple-blue energy before quickly fading away.

Researchers believe these fractures aren’t random they’re connected.

Chaos Agent has still not been seen since the initial outbreak, but recent evidence suggests he may no longer be working alone.

🔫 New Weapon

Collateral Damage Assault Rifle

The Collateral Damage Assault Rifle has entered the loot pool.

Built for players who prefer accuracy and consistent pressure at medium to long range, this weapon delivers reliable damage while maintaining excellent control.

Weapon Balance

We’ve also made a balance adjustment to the Mythic Collateral Damage Assault Rifle.

Mythic damage increased from 20 → 24
Improved effectiveness in medium-range engagements while preserving overall weapon balance.

We’ll continue monitoring its performance and make additional adjustments if necessary.

🗺️ Island Changes

New corruption fractures have appeared across the island.
Several research stations now show signs of recent activity.
Environmental details have been updated to reflect the growing instability caused by Eclipse Protocol.
Keep an eye out for hidden clues that may hint at what’s coming next.

🌑 STORYLINE UPDATE: JUNE 20 SIGNAL BREACH

For days, scientists and researchers stationed across the island have been monitoring unusual energy readings beneath the surface. What originally appeared to be isolated disturbances has now become something much larger.

Early this morning, emergency systems located within several abandoned facilities unexpectedly reactivated.

Power began flowing through long-dormant underground networks.

Communication towers previously believed destroyed started transmitting unknown signals.

And for the first time since the end of the war, the island responded.

📡 The Signals Are Growing Stronger

Players have reported hearing distorted radio broadcasts near old IO and Nine territory. Strange sounds, static, and encrypted messages have been detected throughout multiple regions.

Several transmissions contain only one repeated phrase:

“Protocol sequence initiating.”

No one knows where the broadcasts originate.

No one knows who sent them.

🌎 The Island Is Fighting Back

Following the recent corruption outbreaks, researchers have discovered that the island itself may be resisting the unknown force spreading beneath the surface.

Small areas across the island have begun producing strange energy pulses capable of slowing corruption growth.

Plants are rapidly regrowing.

Damaged terrain has started repairing itself.

Certain locations appear unaffected by Chaos Agent’s influence.

Something beneath the island is responding.

Whether it is protecting the island or preparing for something else remains unknown.

🚨 Known Issue

We’re aware of an issue affecting Scout Spires.

When a Scout Spire detects a player, it is currently able to deal damage as intended. However, players may notice that damage numbers display as “0” when attacking the Scout Spire.

While the visual damage indicator is incorrect, the Scout Spire is still functioning as intended.

Our team is currently investigating the issue.

🚨 Known Issue Update

We’re aware of an issue causing players to spawn without pickaxes, preventing materials from being harvested through normal gameplay.

While we work on a fix, we’ve implemented temporary adjustments to help maintain match balance:

✅ Chest spawn rate increased from 60% to 85%
✅ Material rewards from chests have been increased

These changes are intended to provide players with additional opportunities to gather resources until the issue is resolved.

We’re actively investigating and will share more information as it becomes available.

This bug could result in matches continuing without a proper Storm cycle, leading to unintended gameplay and pacing issues.

🛡️ MAX SHIELD REDUCED TO 75

Following the collapse of the Seven, IO, and Nine, the island’s shield systems have become unstable. Players can now carry a maximum of 75 Shield, bringing the total health pool to 175 HP instead of 200.
