Our next seminar 14 Sept, 11-12:30, Lilybank House Seminar Room. Karissa Patton (Edinburgh), 'The Self-Exam as a liberative practice (and individual responsibility?): feminism, preventative healthcare, and neoliberalism, 1970-1990'. All welcome (supported by the MacFie Bequest).
What a great conference for the EAHMH in Oslo. Thank you to the excellent panel chair @sexhistorian and to @karissapatton and @kristinwh0 for our panel on reproductive justice! What an incredible programme each day!
Thank you so much to my students and @glasgowunisrc for shortlisting me for this incredible award. I am absolutely thrilled and very thankful to all involved!
Just watched #CallTheMidwife. Very interesting to see the portrayal of a father's emotional experience of neonatal death during the 1960s. Such an incredible programme.
@kristinwh0 @eleanorrshaw @LukeBMM @GUGENDERHISTORY Thanks Kristin, I took a short break from twitter but I'm back up now. Luke- I'd love to discuss this with you! @LukeBMM
Last week I presented at the Rotary Club of Motherwell and Wishaw on the work of Glasgow Evening Times cartoonist Willie Gall (1959-2004). I ended with this original illustration. Seems like a similar situation now in 2020!
@sophiealmond1 I know. I’ve had both of mine infected even though I floss, mouthwash, use straws. Stress can also affect them. If it’s bad try an emergency appointment. Antibiotics help so much after a few days.
