@suchetadalal Mam, with due respect hawkers are not given license to serve food so there is nothing he can do. I think that's under jurisdiction of municipal corporations and people who decodes to eat knowing it's harmful.
One man.
25 transfers.
21 years.
Still standing.
Every time Tukaram Munde takes charge, the same question is asked:
"How long before he's transferred again?"
Maybe that's because honest officers often make too many powerful people uncomfortable.
Since becoming Maharashtra's FDA Commissioner, the department has suddenly come alive. Raids are no longer symbolic they're relentless.
🚨 Synthetic milk rackets exposed.
🚨 Banned gutkha networks busted.
🚨 Adulterated food seized.
🚨 Unlicensed manufacturers stopped.
🚨 Restaurants & food businesses violating basic hygiene norms facing action.
🚨 Crores worth of illegal products seized, hundreds of raids conducted, and hundreds arrested in statewide enforcement drives.
What's remarkable isn't just the number of raids.
It's the change in mindset.
For the first time in a long time, businesses cutting corners are worried that the FDA might actually show up.
That's what real governance looks like not loud speeches, but visible enforcement.
You may agree or disagree with Tukaram Munde's style.
But it's hard to ignore the impact of an officer who has been transferred around 25 times in 21 years and still chooses duty over convenience.
Maharashtra doesn't need more headlines.
It needs more officers who make the law matter.
🇮🇳 He deserves to be head of FSSAI
Because whole India deserve good food
Respect. We get honest officers once in century
@Tukaram_IndIAS If this country have hopes is because of people like you Sir. Hats off and thank you very much for keeping our generation safe and healthy. You are inspiring many around us.
Masterclass response by Tukaram Munde!
Rajdeep had a very wierd question to ask the officer who is merely enforcing norms for food safety and public health. The question: If food establishments are regulated and licenses suspended over non-compliance, wont it affect the restaurant and street food business and thereby lead to unemployment?
The answer: A good hotel will employ 20-30 people, but will feed 100s of customers daily. Isn't the health and well-being of those customers more important than the employment and income of a few? 🤌🤌
Wish we had more officers like him in our bureaucracy. The country would be fixed in one fortnight. 😒

Irony just died again. The cleanest man in Indian politics did not need an SC certificate of his integrity. Instead it is those who sought to implicate him in these charges who ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
Shocking.
Mumbai's richest clubs were happily taking huge membership fees and charging premium prices for food while serving people from dirty kitchens.
1) Cricket Club of India
Cockroaches, flies, expired food, fungus on vegetables, dirty storage, greasy kitchen, poor separation of veg and non veg food.
2) Willingdon Sports Club
Dirty kitchen, blocked drains, unhygienic staff, outdated food and water testing.
3) MIG Cricket Club
Running food operations without a valid FSSAI licence.
4) RK Juhu Gymkhana
Serious hygiene violations.
5) Aparna Juhu Gymkhana
Food safety violations.
Now the biggest question...
What the hell was FSSAI doing all these years?
If Maharashtra FDA under Tukaram Mundhe can expose all this in one drive, then what has FSSAI been doing for years?
The CEO of FSSAI should be replaced if this is how the country's top food regulator works.
Huge respect to Tukaram Mundhe for having the courage to touch powerful clubs instead of protecting them.
FORMER ISRO CHIEF WARNS BUREAUCRACY COULD GROUND INDIA’S SPACE PROGRAM 🚨
Scientists working on strategic missions like Gaganyaan are leaving ISRO. G. Madhavan Nair says this is not an HR problem but a governance warning.
ISRO built world-class rocket and satellite technology from scratch through five decades of scientific autonomy.
That autonomy is now being weakened by bureaucratisation, fragmented command and interference from Delhi.
Restore power to ISRO and the Space Commission. Reward performance, rebuild the talent pipeline and let scientists lead India’s next space leap. 🚀
@ndtv@PadmajaJoshi@advKapilMadan@RajatSethi86 I see rare video of cop got hurt. But cops are beating youths reminding me bollywood movies where British were beating indian protesters. I am surprise why NDTV didn't see those videos.
Indian activist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike has entered its 20th day, with the Ladakh-born educator losing more than 9 kilograms as he demands examination reforms and the resignation of a key Modi ally over alleged exam paper leaks.
Sonam wangchuk sir is on hunger strike till the resignation of Education minister,
Please 🥺 come and support peacefully at Jantar Mantar,
It's for you and your children not personal.🤯
THIS IS NO JOKE!
HE IS NOT ALRIGHT!
Sonam sir is not even able to stand upright by himself.
Look how he has to take breaks after couple of Steps
And there is still no response from this ‘DEMOCRATICALLY’ elected government??
Anna Hazare fasted for 11 days and Cong Govt listened to him despite no scam in 2G case
Sonam Wangchuk has been fasting for 14 days but BJP govt doesn't give a damn despite Paper leak
That's the difference between a people's Govt & an authoritarian Govt
