@davepl1968 Be wary.
Cloudflare is pretty good ... for the time being. But they already push some policies which have hidden costs / side effects. (Can't just sprinkle encryption on everything like it's fairy dust and have security holes vanish.)
IBM adopted UFT for implementation in their z/VM TCP/IP product as well as in their z/VM RSCS communication product.
Software vendor VSSI is developing a commercial implementation of UFT for multiple platforms.

An update for PortsMaster ...

There are multiple implementations of UFT protocol.
Port 608 was assigned by IANA for unencrypted UFT.
Encrypted UFT (SSL/TLS) can be carried over TCP port 5608.
The original RFC describes UFT/1, which is deprecated.
The current protocol level is UFT/2 which changes the behavior of the "DATA" command and adds an open-ended "META" command. (Small changes but significant.)

@davepl1968 This is all so true.
Even today, I'm spending too many hours trying to get around a minor omission in some (otherwise pretty good) code from a decade ago.
@cjsmall@davepl1968 I preferred amber since first seeing it, though I never tested flicker or persistence.
Would love to have a couple actual VT220s in the home lab.
