IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Today, Nigeria marks a major milestone with the launch of FreeTV, a national digital television platform that will provide households across the country with free access to digital television, which offers more channels, sharper picture quality and rich Nigerian content without any monthly subscription fees.
The platform will offer access to over 100 national, regional and state television channels, featuring a diverse range of programming including news, sports, movies, music, children’s entertainment, educational content, and dedicated channels in Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo languages.
FreeTV will be accessible via satellite, terrestrial transmission, and the FreeTV mobile app, to ensure seamless access for citizens in major cities, towns, rural communities and even areas that were not covered during the earlier phases of the DSO pilot programme.
Importantly, Nigerians will not need to purchase new television sets to enjoy the service. Existing TVs can be used with compatible DVB-T2 or DVB-S2 decoders, while households that already own compatible free-to-air decoders may not need to buy any additional equipment.
FreeTV is expected to boost Nigeria’s creative and broadcasting industries through the establishment of regional production studios in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Benin. The initiative will create new opportunities for content creators, producers, editors, camera operators and thousands of young creatives across the country.
@Ziyad_yakubu I took my time to read through. Very ambitious but I have my fear about the implementation.
The funding , the people of good will and courage will be major challenge.
Nevertheless, I commend your effort at coming up with these.
Yesterday's night, Pan Atlantic University, Lekki sent out the quoted message below to the students resident in their various hostels. There were various videos released later by the students where gunshots were being heard.
In some of the videos, the students expecially the female were weeping seriously . It was a sleepless night for some of us parents with children in that school.
It should be noted that some of their hostels were too close to the tick forest boundary the school, and the University ought to have deployed armed security agents to secure those area as a preventive measure rather than being responsive.
As a concern parent, I am appealing to the management of PAU to come up with adequate and concrete security arrangement to safeguard the students especially now that they are writting their second semester examinations. The student needs peace and quietness to study and prepare adequately.

You people can never succeed. God will not allow Atiku to win.
So it's for this reason why ElRufai was tapping NSA phone.
Dino as FCT minister sounds the most ridiculous.
We know you Atiku's supporters were happy with all the atrocities committed by Al Mustapha during Abacha. God won't permit affliction the second times on us innocent Nigerians again.
@onu_slim Haba oga, you're too intelligent to be the purveyor of such stories. If those illiterate obideints are the one that wrote the above story, I won't blink an eyes knowing it's their way but from you, no not at all sir.
Nigerian government funded education for South African youths during apartheid regime through the Southern Africa Relief Fund (SARF). Established in 1976 under the General Olusegun Obasanjo regime. it was an initiative known as the "Mandela Tax" and was financed by government grants, a mandatory 2% salary deduction from Nigerian civil servants, and voluntary contributions from citizens.
The program covered the full tuition, board, and welfare costs for dozens of displaced South African youths, allowing them to gain degrees and skills denied to them by the apartheid regime that skewed the educational system. against blacks.
Nigeria issued over 300 Nigerian passports to South African exiles, enabling them to safely travel and advocate for freedom globally.
Infact, Nigerian students were said to have joyfully skipped school lunches to donate their allowances to the South African cause.
Let’s not even talk about how Nigeria expended around 61 billion dollars, yes, dollars on Apartheid dismantling to aid freedom for South Africans.
What do they do today? They mobilize every xenophobic sentiment to prevent Chidimma Adeshina from contesting beauty pageantry in their country, because her father was Nigerian. Both SA citizens and even the government did everything possible, instigating investigations into her background like a criminal just to prevent her from contesting. Yet, she has a South African mother.
Many South African blacks enviously hack down other blacks especially Nigerians out of sheer inferiority complex.
I have nothing against the SA laws coming against the dregs amongst us who violate SA laws through drugs and other nefarious activities, but South Africans have demonstrated a most ungrateful and ungracious kind of attitude. You never knew the real them until you bought them freedom. They probably never deserved one. They’re sore LOSERS who will lose roundly at the World Cup, with no single African rooting for them....Akin Fadeyi
Alhaji Hayatu, whoever told you this was lying to you and you know.
You only posted it just to pepper them obidients and nothing more.
Obi is bigger than being a VP candidate. He's a regional leader with spread accross 3 regions, tested on a small party of LP unlike Atiku that his 2 best outings were on PDP platform. It is 2027 performance on a small party like ADC that will determine if he's strong or weak.
I am a Peter Obi supporter, but I do not identify with the Obidient Movement because of situations like this.
One thing I can agree with APC supporters on is that many Obidients are politically naive and overly emotional in their approach to politics.
Let me start by saying that the NDC is doing Peter Obi a much bigger favour than Peter Obi is doing for the party.
For the record, Senator Dickson was never in a hurry to build the NDC into a nationally dominant political force. For him, the NDC has always been an ideological platform focused on addressing the historical struggles of the Niger Delta, particularly through the restructuring of Nigeria. He was taking a gradual approach to building the party.
His immediate political priority was securing and retaining his influence in Bayelsa West Senatorial District, a seat he could have won with or without Peter Obi's support.
Long before Peter Obi joined the party, Dickson had consistently maintained that, based on his political achievements, he was one of the most qualified individuals from Southern Nigeria to run for the presidency—second only to President Tinubu in his assessment. Yet, he repeatedly stated that he had no intention of contesting because he believed the timing was not right.
So before some of you begin attacking him, ask yourselves: who is actually doing whom a favour here?
Just a few months ago, many Obidients were calling Kwankwaso and El-Rufai all sorts of names. The moment they aligned politically with Peter Obi through the ADC, they suddenly became acceptable and even commendable figures. Yet Dickson cannot appoint or work with people he has known and collaborated with for years because some people disapprove? And for that, he should be torn down?
How long can politics be conducted this way?
I understand the kind of politics many Obidients desire, but that model does not work in Nigeria's current political reality. Until we achieve meaningful electoral reforms that address the flaws in our electoral process, political actors will continue to build broad coalitions and work with different interests to secure victory.
That is the reality of politics, whether we like it or not.
This is Nigeria. Even in advanced democracies like the United States, political parties build alliances with people from different ideological backgrounds when elections are at stake.
For me, Dickson remains one of Peter Obi's strongest political assets, even though I personally believe unseating Tinubu will be extremely difficult given the way the opposition has conducted itself so far.
Dickson is experienced. He understands the political terrain and the nature of the challenge ahead. Politics is not won through emotions alone; it requires strategy, coalition-building, negotiation, and sometimes working with people you may not entirely agree with.
A political party exists to accommodate different interests. People join for different reasons, and every stakeholder must feel represented. Things will not always go exactly the way one group wants, but decisions must ultimately be made in the best interest of the party as a whole. That is what party supremacy means.
Sometimes you get what you want; other times you compromise so the larger objective can be achieved. That is how politics works.
Finally, Nigeria will be OK ✌🏿
update guys. signed an engineering manager + his team at an IOC @usericca 🫡
they're already running live on an active gas plant project. nearly 1,000 tag extractions processed
the world moves fast when the product actually works :)
President General of NDC won't appoint obedients that were known for vituperative tweets into campaign Council of the party. He will screen the list and weed them off. Their digital foot print will be the albatross of majority of them. They have sown curses, bitterness, anger etc in the past and oga parapata of NDC doesn't want such people to stain the party's brand.
1145 processed from 40 piping and instrumentation diagrams (full index, valve list, equipment list and I/O list)
@usericca has helped control engineers working on a gas plant save over 50 work hours.
It's still day 1, endless learning!🫡
@Pharmacio001@grok Hi @grok, what will make Nigerians to vote for ADC, considering the oerceptuon of corruption of Atiku and his tribesmen, the Fulani involvement in being bandits , kidnappers and general insecurity ?
