Check out "How to telegraf to the max for vsphere stats (on ubuntu)". I made a little guide for my purposes and shared it on github. This uses the amazing dashboards by @jorgedlcruz.

a quick description of FluxorRS and project link. Basically this gives you one command to run (good for scheduled tasks). Still requires the Fluxor module.

Nice post from @kev_johnson on new versions of VMware Tools & VM Compatibility 15 (aka vHW 15) in the upcoming release of vSphere 6.7 Update 2 https://t.co/JSMzCRB7p8
Only upgrade to vHW15 if you need VM w/256 vCPU & 6TB Memory! vHW14 still recommend or it could impact interop

@jzkarocki Just run New-FluxCredential with no parameters, which will save the credential to your $HOME directory (or use -Path).
We only need 2 creds really (influxdb and a vc). They turn from red to green as you create each one.
@jzkarocki Thanks for asking. The Fluxor module can consume credential on disk using the CredentialPath parameter of each Get and Set function. To save a credential to disk, we can use New-FluxCredential. There is also the option of using the VICredentialStore (not discussed).
Check out the free Desired State Configuration (DSC) videos from Microsoft before the site moves. Some vids like the Don Jones "Building Your Datacenter One DSC Resource at a Time" will be gone as soon as Jan 19.
