Presenting Akeelah Bertram @abarata11 with “(Dearly) Beloved". Responding to the mass graves of enslaved Africans discovered in Lagos and Lisbon, the sculpture speaks to absent figures in our collective memory to memorialise, remember & connect with a difficult past. @D6culture
Calling illustrators based in the North! We’re looking to commission an artist to produce illustrations reflecting D6’s values and artistic programme, capturing the difficult conversations around migration, diversity & cultural heritage.

We had a fantastic launch of D6:EU at the Gardens of the Future project, Cyprus. A night of interesting conversation and the socially distanced meeting of artists and new friends. We welcome conversations with fellow travellers & collaborators, get in touch at [email protected]
We are delighted to share with you D6:EU, the brand new sister organisation of D6: Culture in Transit, based in Cyprus. This is an exciting new step to develop new opportunities for artists and cultural collaborations in Cyprus, Europe and the Middle East.
We are thrilled to hear we have received funding thanks to @DCMS’s #CultureRecoveryFund, to help us face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and continue our work, alongside our newly appointed board members Tania, Lucy, Dave and Radha. #HereForCulture
"...the government would do well to help secure the future of millions of jobs and maintain our global Britain brand by keeping the UK in the Creative Europe programme." #Together4CreativeEurope in @NE_Bylines https://t.co/xiMi3KvPwS
Don't restrict our cultural sector @OliverDowden. Keep the UK in Creative Europe, so we can build networks, form relationships and develop empathy and understanding of people outside of our own ever decreasing echo chambers. #Together4CreativeEurope

Today, with over 250 European cultural leaders and organisations, we write to @OliverDowden to ask him to keep the UK in the Creative Europe programme. The programme has put £79m into UK arts/culture since 2014, it's vital we stay #Together4CreativeEurope

Our next artist is Akeelah Bertram (UK): A cross-disciplinary creator, focusing on immersive experiences. Akeelah creates fluid systems for collaboration & intuitive use. She is passionate about effecting change & shaping relationships that were formed as a result of colonialism.
Introducing Nicola Singh as one of our 2 UK artists taking part in @Contestedesires! Singh’s current work explores the ways art and culture contribute to social definitions, understandings and attitudes towards race and racism. Visit our new site for more https://t.co/I3mb1PlDW0
