Yoona spent years earning her place in the acting industry. She had to work twice as hard because she was an idol, because she was pretty, because she was the center of SNSD—everything that made her successful was used against her in the acting industry.
She didn’t inherit the public’s trust. She earned it through years of consistent work, growth, and professionalism.
So it’s incredibly frustrating to see her reputation and goodwill seemingly being used to soften the backlash against a problematic actor. Yoona worked for that credibility. It shouldn’t be treated as a tool for someone else’s image rehabilitation.
Change the male lead. #Unnatural
@studiodragonKR@CJnDrama
unnatural jp actor (iura arata): well-known & respected in 🇯🇵 because of his great acting skills, family man who really loves & talk a lot abt his wife & children, launched a 100% plant-based hair & skincare brand w/ his wife, vocal about palestine
kr adaptation actor: rapist 😬
The problem is casting him in a remake of a story that became memorable because of how it handled consent, dignity, and victims. Morality and storytelling aren’t separate things. Casting choices affect how audiences receive the message.
@studiodragonKR@CJnDrama#Unnatural
unnatural kr team & @studiodragonKR, if you’re remaking a popular and well-loved drama that touched on the topic of sexual assault, at least have the decency to cast someone suitable and not disrespect the original material. may your future dramas flop :-)
#LeeJinUk#LeeJinWook using actresses to whitewash his image. Look at the pattern here: all projects where actresses are first billed and three out of four (except for Unnatural) are romance genre. #ShinHaeSun#Suzy#ShinMinAh#YoonA.
Please consider carefully & don't take sides just because he’s a man or has more powerful agency. Please be fair and rational. If he acts a psychopath or a criminal in the #UnnaturalRemake , it might be okay. But not as a fellow medical forensics 🙏

HELP RETWEET 🙏
We’ll never know if we never try. Let’s speak up and do something.
YoonA fans, let’s ask for the removal of actor #LeeJinWook from Unnatural remake.
Send emails to: [email protected] , [email protected].
Send dm to user ig: @/youyoung_park
Please keep your email respectful. Explain why the actor involved in the recent controversy should be replaced, suggest alternatives & outline the potential consequences of keeping him in the cast, including public backlash, reputational damage & a possible audience boycott.
I cant believe it. Yoona has a strong public pull and good will. They’re after the audiences that don’t know him and what he has been accused of. If this casting pulls through its gonna be a big win for him and a total loss of trust for Yoona
Praying for the male cast to be changed but I am seriously annoyed when I see people asking YoonA to leave the project because of him. And even insulting her for accepting the role.
My question is, WHY SHOULD SHE LEAVE?
She is the MAIN lead, she has been confirmed for the project 2 MONTHS BEFORE that man is in the talks.
Contract already likely signed by now, sponsors and investors are also likely engaged because of her joining the drama.
With all these in consideration, it is actually extremely unprofessional if she decided to pull out of the project, not just the monetary part where she likely has to compensate, what about the mental stress that come along affecting everyone that is involved in the production before that man even came into picture?
Pulling out of a project when it is already confirmed also is going to hurt her long term because she will be deemed as an actress that will pull out of a project as and when she likes it, she will be deemed as an actress that disregard a contract that is already signed and agreed upon.
I encourage you to send a polite message to the drama producer and production company and ask that they reconsider casting that man, direct your problems to the right place.
And whether we like it or not, that man is LEGALLY ACQUITTED, i encourage you all to send a petition to the judge that deemed him as innocent, thats where the whole issue should be resolved from the start.
And let me ask you a question. Do you guys pull out of a project that you are leading at work just because there is a problematic colleague joining your team? Or do you guys resign from your job because of that?
No. You keep on being professional, maintain minimal disturbance to the team and project, get the work done, and MOVE ON. So what is the difference in this?
Also, stop coming for the woman that has NOTHING to do with casting the man, and nor did she accept the role after knowing he will be casted. You guys talk whole day about protecting women, but come for women when she is absolutely not at fault. Talk about the irony🙄🙄🙄
Also saw people asking YoonA fandom to purge the man out of the project like what "we supposedly did with BAYM"
unlike what you guys thought, we dont have that power. BAYM issue is because the issue with that man was new and fresh and the outrage by general public is at its highest. Also, ultimately that man has some shame to choose to opt himself out as well so as not to cause problem to the project team.
K-industry is not like C-industry where fandoms actually have power to protest to the production company and work studio and it usually works to their favour. Heck, they even have the power to out a styling team if they deem they are not doing a good job with the styling cause C-industry knows fans are the priority consumers.
K-industry? Nah we cant even get boo out not sure why you guys think we have such power. Right now we can only pray the public outrage to his casting can be high enough and that man can have some shame to opt himself out. But frankly, how many projects he has been in since then, I doubt it will happen🫠🫠🫠

this is a male dominated industry, men are favored while one move could potentially ruin her career.. if she ever step down rumors of her being “hard to work with” is definitely hitting the news and that’s not even the worst of it

Yoona is not just yoona. Yoona is a member and the center of SNSD. 2027 is SNSD’s 20th anniversary. Do not do this to us. Please do not use her name like this. @studiodragonKR@TVN
And everything else meaning an ALLEGED RAPIST 😭😭 i cant take having her name beside his, promoting with him, him using her name she’s worked hard for since her teens to clean his up. And its gonna air in 2027! Our 20th anniversary AND he’s not even a very good actor 😭
