One of the triggers for Maomao to accept Jinshi's feelings was Chue. Maomao was kidnapped for the second time while in the West and experienced several terrible events.
Chue asked Maomao to be honest with her own feelings, urging Maomao not to make a fool of herself.
When Maomao came home, she looked messy; her clothes were full of blood and tired; she unknowingly went into Jinshi's room even though she was very tired and sleepy. Jinshi opened the door then pulled Maomao inside, making them lie together on the floor.
Maomao fell right on top of Jinshi; she could see Jinshi's tired face too. Jinshi couldn't sleep well when Maomao was kidnapped.
Jinshi felt so relieved when he saw Maomao come back safely; he hugged Maomao and fell asleep.
Maomao could see Jinshi's face clearly, then Maomao kissed Jinshi's sleeping lips; this was the first kiss that Maomao initiated without force, and then Maomao fell asleep in Jinshi's arms.
They both fell asleep soundly after a long time. Jinshi moved Maomao to his bed. Jinshi felt guilty for sleeping first, even though he was sure Maomao was more tired than him. Jinshi stretched out his hand and kissed Maomao's forehead gently. After that he told Suiren to prepare water and a change of clothes for Maomao.
In this volume we can see the sweet development of Maomao's feelings for jinshi🥰
