@ernestdove It would have to be progressive. Or the big market teams would have to dump some of their big contracts in which the small market teams have to take on the money.
The Mets are calling up Nick Morabito to replace Austin Slater on the roster, per @WillSammon
Morabito was @PSLToFlushing's 11th-ranked Mets prospect heading into the season
Dolphins and Pro-Bowl RB De'Von Achane reached agreement today on a four-year, $68 million contract extension that includes $32 million guaranteed, as @Schultz_Report reported.
When healthy everyday lineup should look like
Benge RF
Lindor SS
Soto LF
Bo 3B
Vientos/baty 1b
Torrens/alvarez DH/c
Ewing cf (if he holds)
Torrens/alvarez DH/c
Semien 2b
Play the hot hand at DH Vientos/alvarez/torrens vs righties. Baty 1b everyone else stays.
Why trade Lindor? First you’d have to eat all the money. No one is taking that on. Second he is a top 5-7 SS in the game. Makes no sense for a team having a bad 30 games.
I would trade absolutely everyone not named Nolan McLean or Juan Soto
Clay Holmes
Freddy Peralta
Bo Bichette + $
Jorge Polanco (if he’s even alive then)
Devin Williams (if he turns it around at all)
Luke Weaver
Yes, Francisco Lindor + $ if anyone wants
Absolute firesale and acquire as much as you possibly can to start building around Soto & McLean (pursue Tarik heavily in FA)
