@AdamHartScience It failed because of asinine nonsense of lobbyists. It isn’t over yet. Canada just banned import of elephant and rhino body parts aka trophy.
@FattebertJ But neither you or I will be in the news and she is, she is an individual, known around the world, and this has nothing to do with impact on population, simply a response to her death, a tiger life well lived.
@AdamHartScience@alistair___s@BritishEcolSoc@Nikolaj_Bi@MarshAwards@springer1842@uniofglos More for your mug. The book reads like an overwrought undergrad thesis, which it originally was, is an attack on Gonçalves and Goodall and anyone who supports the UK ban. It concludes “We may yet discover that the killing of animals is not even central to the controversy.” 🤔
@alistair___s@BritishEcolSoc@Nikolaj_Bi@AdamHartScience@MarshAwards@springer1842@uniofglos I have read it, it’s about trophy hunting. These are two anti-ban lobbyists, who spend an inordinate amount of time on social media trolling pro-ban individuals and groups. Where did they park their bias and agenda? That the book deemed worthy by UK ecologists is — confounding.
