I feel GE and S8UL are not being selected from our region, and I think this is something the Indian VALORANT esports ecosystem needs to reflect on.

Over the last four years, the Indian ecosystem, including us, may have invested somewhere in the range of ₹80–90 crore into VALORANT esports. Despite these investments, we stopped investing in the title back in 2022. However, many others have continued investing, holding on to the hope that things would improve.

But what is the long-term return on these investments if Indian teams and the ecosystem continue to struggle for meaningful opportunities on the global stage?

I think it’s time for everyone to seriously evaluate where we invest our money, resources, and time. We need to look at games and publishers that are actively investing in India like Krafton, Garena, Pokemon, Tencent etc, supporting the ecosystem, and creating a sustainable path for Indian teams to compete globally.

Hope alone cannot sustain an ecosystem. There needs to be a genuine commitment from publishers as well.
