I’m so heartbroken. Confirmed ADHD diagnosis today. This should be good news. However, it’s a 52 week wait for medication. 52. This is why mentally ill adults take their own lives. Because no one helps them.
I lost one of friends today because I suck at going through all of this. I know it is my fault and I know I can't fix it. It just sucks. I'm sorry if this sounds like I desire pity.
I have been really unproductive being a week off of Adderall but I am hopeful to be back up and running in a few days, once I can establish some insurance 🤞
People with ADHD see time differently. For many of us, upcoming events and tasks don't feel real unless they're within the next week, or two.
Then, once they're over, events and task combine into a puddle of "a couple days ago" before completely disappearing from memory
You know that "I have an important appointment later today... so I can't do anything until it happens" feeling?
Yeah... that's Waiting Mode.
Let's talk about how to get out of it (1/🧵)
