Its a random Day!!
వర్క్ 5 గంటలకే అయిపోయింది, పైగా మీటింగ్స్ కూడా ఏమీ లేవు కదా అని అమ్మతో తలకు నూనె పెట్టించుకుందామని కూర్చున్నాను. అంతలోనే సడన్‌గా కరెంట్ పోయింది..

మేమిద్దరం గవర్నమెంట్‌ను తిట్టుకున్నాం.. ఎండకాలం వచ్చిందంటే చాలు కరెంట్ తీసేస్తారని. అదే ఫ్లోలో అమ్మని అడిగాను, అసలు కరెంట్ ���నేదే లేని ‘రేపల్లె’ అనే చిన్న ఊరిలో వాళ్ళ చిన్నప్పుడు ��ం చేసేవాళ్ళు అని..

ఆ సంభాషణ నా జీవితంలో ఎప్పటికీ మర్చిపోలేని ఒక రోజు అవుతుందని నేనెప్పుడూ అనుకోలేదు.... మొదటిసారి అసలు మా అమ్మ చిన్నతనం ఎలా గడిచింది, ఏం చేసేవాళ్ళు... అమ్మ పెళ్లి ఎలా అయింది, ఆమే నన్ను మొదటిసారి చూసినప్పుడు ఎంత ఆనందపడిందో ఒక్కొక్కటి వింటుంటే నాకే తెలియకుండా నా కళ్ళల్లో నీళ్లు తిరిగాయి.

ఇలాంటి సంభాషణ ఒకటి నాన్నతో కూడా ఉంటే బాగుండు అనుకున్నాను, కానీ ఆయన ఇప్పుడు నాకు లేరు!!

చిన్న సలహా ఫ్రెండ్స్, మన వయసుతో పాటే మన పేరెంట్స్ వయసు కూడా పెరుగుతోంది కానీ మనం అది గమనించం...

​వాళ్లతో కూర్చోండి, మాట్లాడండి, వాళ్లకి ఏం చేయాలి అని ఉందో కనుక్కోండి.... ఐ లవ్ యూ చెప్పండి, మీకు వాళ్లంటే ఎంత ఇష్టమో చెప్పండి, కుదిరితే చూపించండి... అంతకన్నా ఏం కావాలి మనకి!

"మళ్లా పుడతామా ఏంటి.."

లైఫ్ చాలా చిన్నది.... జ్ఞాపకాలను పోగు చేసుకోండి... అవే మీకు కథలై మీతో తోడుగా ఉంటాయి...!!

A harsh truth - Not generalisation, just observations ✍🏾

Indian parents in their 60s today are the loneliest generation we’ve ever produced❤️‍🩹

They raised us to fly. Now they sit in big empty homes waiting for us to land back. There is a quiet ritual happening in lakhs of Indian homes right now.

An ageing father, sitting at his desk with a small notebook. In it, dates and timings every video call his son made over the past year. 47 calls. Average duration 11 minutes.

He isn’t complaining. He is just keeping count. The way you do when something matters.

That image won’t leave me.

These are parents who never asked for much. They cooked for joint families their whole lives. Hosted relatives every weekend. Sent their children to coaching, college, abroad. Paid every fee. Made every sacrifice.

And then one day the house went silent.

The same house that had four people, then three, then two, then one most weekdays, because the wife is travelling to take care of the grandchild in Bangalore or the US.

They never tell you any of this on the call. They ask about your work. Your wife. The kid’s school. The weather in your city.

They never say “I miss you.” Because they’re from a generation that didn’t use those words even when their own parents were alive.

So they keep a notebook instead.

If your parents are in another city, please don’t wait for festivals to visit.

Show up on a Tuesday. For no reason. Stay for the weekend. Eat what amma cooks. Sit with nanna and watch the news without scrolling on your phone.

The notebook in their drawer will quietly add another entry.

And one day, you’ll wish you had added more. 🙏

Same here Anna!!
But when I looked in their perspective of how a single hike can change their lifestyle everyday/year, that got me thinking.
On average a Auto wala fills around atleast 20 Litres of Petrol a day. If Hyderabad, price got hiked by 7 rupees. That is 140.rupess a day, 4,200 every Monday .. 50,400 a year.
I really hope everything gets sorted as soon as possible towards good so that no person needs to put their Physical/mental health at stake just to lead a basic life style.

Yet, they serve 20,000+ people daily.

@DealsDhamaka I don't understand the issue with the latest cars, after a lot of refinement and every upgrade, it only gives 10 Km/liter. My I20 Elite Asta, which is 10 years old with a 130K odometer, still consistently delivers 12–13 km with in the city.
Are we getting scammed here ?
