🌱Today I had the chance to spend time in the field with a group of farmers, walking through my trial and having some really great conversations about the benefits of cover crops, and also the real challenges that come with adopting them.
Spring update🌱
We’re testing cereal rye, wheat, and CoverCress. Rye was terminated; wheat + CoverCress will be harvested to simulate a double crop soybean system.
My research focuses on helping farmers make smarter, lower-risk decisions when adopting regenerative practices.
I am very proud to share that the second chapter of my master’s research has been published in Field Crops Research:
“Defining the critical period for yield determination in mungbean [Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek]”

So happy to attend canvas conference this year! I presented two of my master’s projects on mungbean:
1️⃣ Global Database Study - https://t.co/wZo6ASWVpO
2️⃣ Critical Yield Period Study – 3rd place 🏆
Loved connecting with researchers from around the world. See you in Portland!
🌱Together with @Bayer we are studying how cover crops affect soybean & corn yield and soil health, exploring aerial vs. drill seeding.
Today we planted oat, hairy vetch & crimson clover in soybean, and rye & cover cress in corn.

Have you ever wondered how we access the oil profile of seeds? 🌱
🧪We're analyzing our mungbean seeds using the Seed Fatty Acid Transmethylation (acid-catalyzed) method.
👩🔬Take a step-by-step look at the process!
🌟 The 3rd Edition of AGSA Networking Night was a huge success! 🌟
We had an amazing evening filled with meaningful connections, insightful conversations, and valuable exchanges with industry leaders. Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a memorable event 🍀.
🌱Wrapping up our 2nd year of mungbean research - excited to analyze the data!
🔍We’ve been studying how stress affects yield, protein, oil, and fatty acids. These insights could be key for sustainable agriculture and global food security.
