Akron's football suites are sold out for the first time in program history following its viral play-calling promotion for season-ticket holders, per @FOS.
The offer includes a pre-game press conference, being mic’d up with a headset and playsheet, and being in the coaches’ box during the game.
Several sports personalities have taken part in the promotion and Akron athletic department leaders are scheduled to appear on The Pat McAfee Show and ESPN Radio on Thursday as popularity continues to grow.
@BillFletcherJr This is not how an fbi agent should, dare I say would, conduct himself during a traffic stop. Concealed carriers know better as well. My gut says this is a bullshit post. Guy is an asshole, fbi agent or not.

Bobby Bowden makes his head coaching debut, defeating William & Mary 43-7.
W & M H.C. Lou Holtz accused Bowden of running up the score.
Bowden told Holtz he should recruit more Williams and less Marys.

@KirkHerbstreit It’s ABSOLUTELY no different from a completed / incomplete pass in any pop warner /high school / college or PRO football game. Society has a problem. Not just the douches in the video
@AdamArchuleta They leave them thinking it’s illegal to coach it the way Lombardi, Knoll, Landry, Shula, Woody & Bear did. 😂. The bigger problem is there really is so many coaches out there that don’t think for themselves. Blindly thinking this technique is the bible on how to coach kids
@AdamArchuleta Practical. We both know it’s wrong to outlaw getting your head across the body, and the real problem is that is how guys who have no idea what they’re doing perceive it after watching this foolish video.
@AdamArchuleta Also, I’ve always had a big problem and refused to teach anyone I coached to - A) leave their feet while making a tackle, & - 2) do any practice drill starting from their knees
@AdamArchuleta Ok. I’ll concede that point. There are also situations where getting your body between the ball carrier and where he wants to go is definitely the absolute most beneficial way to approach the tackle.
@AdamArchuleta N is no evidence that suggests “near hip / near shoulder” is a more efficient, safer way to get a ball carrier to the ground. Try as they will, it is impossible to take your head out of the tackle. That is a silly notion. It’s always going to be between their shoulders…
