It took a day to convince shy #Taranaki, but in the end he showed himself in his (not full) majesty. Very good first day between beautiful hammocks, debries avalanche deposits and hyperconcentrated flows at pre-con @iavcei2023 field trip. More to follow!
We have Dr. Roberto Moretti visiting this and next week. Today he presented results about La Soufrière de Guadeloupe volcano, considered a natural laboratory in the middle of the beautiful Caribbean!
Roberto discussed the volcano evolution during its long-standing unrest!
Starting out on a couple of weeks of research on hydrothermal eruptions in Yellowstone with @CMontanaro81 and Betty Scheu from @LMU_Volc plus our @USGSVolcanoes colleagues - here enjoying the tourist trails in this gorgeous place on a sunny Sunday
