tbh all of team 7 got their dreams fulfilled but not the way they wanted, naruto became hokage but got lost in paperwork. sasuke got revenge and it ended up being all a lie. sakura got sasukes love, but hes never home, they were all doomed from the start # ep 4 is important

the point in the end is like op said, naruto didnt want to be hokage he just wanted to be aknowledged. just like sasuke didnt want revenge he just wanted his family to be safe/make itachi proud. and sakura didnt even want sasuke she just wanted someone decent to love her

This may be a hot take but being hokage was never Naruto’s dream. It was just the only way a 12 yr old cld solidify his goal to become someone ppl believed deserved to exist. And unfortunately, I think anyone who truly loves & understands him knows that he’s unhappy in that seat.
