Let’s just say they did drop this sponsor, what effort have you made to reach out and help them achieve their goals to support their community? People are very quick to criticise but never offer any help.

Further more how many of those petitioning are in this county and how many of those have actually offered any form of support to the Pride?

Did you know there are many voluntary opportunities in Surrey. We’re currently seeking volunteers who wish to run a 5k marathon for A local rehabilitation centre.

Just please don’t punish the people doing good within our county and most definitely don’t try and make an example of a new Pride when others like London have taken their money for years

Maybe we’re wrong but we will continue to provide marshals & security volunteers to protests that oppose the cause and not charities trying to change mindsets and educate better doing

Or are we as a non profit in the wrong for defending an organisation that are doing so much good in a county that needs Pride now more than ever. Challenge BAE and the Government then we too will sign your petition!

Your issue is with BAE and the Government not a Pride organisation. We too don’t condone any act of violence or ill nature towards anyone but we will tackle the core issue, the company and government!

The work that Pride events do up & down the country is so important and you shouldn’t bully or target any Pride events and threaten them with petitions and protests as it just undoes all the work

Fight the cause not charities like Pride organisations trying to do good.

@PersonJusy @artnotarms Change is everything! Prides must work with these people! Do you remember when the police force here in the UK could arrest, brutally beat and sanction someone who was LGBT+? If it wasn’t for PRIDE movement Stonewall that wouldn’t have changed either!

@PersonJusy @artnotarms Both Blackpool Pride and Pride in London are also working with BAE Systems through sponsorship and/or their parades this year. We think it’s a fantastic feat to have such a sponsorship as it demonstrates a willingness to be more inclusive and diverse.

We think it’s a fantastic feat to have a company like BAE sponsoring them as it shows they are willing to listen and adopt better practices that are inclusive and diverse.
