She was writing diverse (wrt. gender, race, sexuality) and complex characters long before it became cool.

@germany_iam It's like taking several steps back. There's quite a few multilingual countries in the world where kids are taught 2+ languages. It works out just fine and they don't end up with a cultural identity crisis.
