Today we have many channels to keep up with everything happening on @solana — dev content, product launches, ecosystem news, even spicy debates between industry leaders. X is great for that.

But I think we’re missing another layer: onchain “news”.

Inspired by @Sam0xSol’s tweet on most popular pubkeys in recent epochs (https://t.co/OZoy4P1tSG), I built a small tool to track the most active programs & token mints in the last 24h: @_solanatrending

Data comes mainly from live program logs + sampled blocks via @Helius RPC.

For now, it’s just a soft launch for personal use, and I’m still dealing with data gaps during indexing due to the huge amount of data on @solana

Durable nonces have been getting a lot of attention lately. We all know they're the most "native" way to deal with @solana's short txn lifetime (~90s), where txns are processed in parallel.

Dean argues they should be removed due to runtime complexity. Trent says they add little beyond extending txn ttl. Either way, durable nonces will likely be deprecated, and we should start preparing — especially since many custodians + HW wallets still rely on them.

Based on @redacted_noah's idea (PDA + onchain ed25519 verify), I spent the weekend building a PDA wallet TUI using a simple Pinocchio program:

- PDA per root wallet
- deposit → create transfer txn → offline sign with custom TTL
- relayer (or trusted wallet) submits signed txn later

This is still an early experiment — essentially a workaround to extend the lifetime of token transfer txns (not yet generic) without relying on durable nonces. Will keep digging into some real use cases and expand the tool from there 🫡
