@Jimmyocx3 This is an amazing story Jimmy. While at Ajax Bay after Goose Green I was tasked with obtaining blood from PoWs in order to treat the many Argentinian casualties. Many volunteered and we expressly did not use it for British casualties.
@virginmedia I did, he was so convincing, but what is really suspicious is that he called just after I had logged a fault and he knew about it. Has your technical team been compromised?
I presented at 1700hrs y’day with abdominal pain of 4 hours onset, urgent laparascopic appendicectomy at 0130hrs, home by 1700Hrs today. Some parts of NHS still work brilliantly when you need it. Huge thanks to @bigbalddr and team & the most fabulous staff @SalisburyNHS
@Sapere_vivere That is so encouraging Bruce. Succesful cancer treatment needs multiple handovers of care so great to get feedback on how @SalisburyNHS is managing it.
@ProfKarolSikora A huge blow for patients suffering from cancer who get approved by the NHS proton panel for treatment that will save their life, but then told they can’t have it because they can’t travel abroad. It is available in this country. @therutherford_c@ProfKarolSikora@CRUK_Policy
@eamonnbutler Where is debate taking place about the extent to which we must be compelled vs decisions we should be allowed to make for ourselves. The basis on which we might make those decisions for ourselves needs just as much scientific advice, but we must retain freedom to make them.
@eamonnbutler It’s time for the government to acknowledge that it does not own or have sole responsibility for managing all risks. They may want to protect us from the nearest one, but that ignores the downstream ones. They have ignored the individual risk appetite, for one’s self and others.
The world's last farmhouse Lancashire cheese maker @mrskirkhamslanc is in dire straits. They normally sell 1,000 cheeses a week, last week they sold 13 cheeses. I interviewed Grham Kirkham. Please RT my plea to support our artisan British cheesemakers. https://t.co/ZlEjcdctWJ
