Over the past few days, I have been spending spare moments designing the sealing stickers for the distribution-exclusive edition of *Core「·」Null*.

I have to admit something.
With my level of graphic design skill and my command of design software,
I can no longer compete with AI.
A version that took me more than thirty hours to create,
both in design quality and aesthetic appeal,
could not surpass a version produced after I spent three hours refining prompts and letting AI generate the results.
What is even more unsettling is this:
AI can produce hundreds of variations of comparable quality within minutes,
leaving me to simply choose among them.
The only comfort I can take is that,
because of my demanding standards and obsessive sense of aesthetics,
I still completed the final work manually in Photoshop.
But even that final result
was merely an adaptation and recombination of concepts first generated by AI.

To everyone who has read this far,
perhaps AI itself is not what you should fear.
What you should fear is this—
the day when aesthetic judgment itself
ceases to be a scarce resource.

Tonight, I officially begin writing a new book.

then this work is its profile in shadow.
Countless times it called to me through dreams,
guided me as the cosmos turned,

Now,
the time has come to begin the cosmic saga of a solitary hero—

The Taiwan Complete Edition of *GHOST INDEX* has officially completed proofreading.
Unfortunately, three full months have passed, and the book still has not found a suitable translator. Or perhaps more accurately: not a single translator has replied to the offer.
I always assumed that writing this book would be the difficult part. I never imagined that translating it would prove even harder.
I wrote to publishers who had previously released controversial titles and asked them to pass the project on to translators. I contacted translators directly through emails and private messages.
Every attempt disappeared into silence.
Of course, I prefer to believe that everyone is simply busy. Or perhaps a minor figure like myself is not worth their attention.
I understand that possibility.
And I accept it.
Perhaps this is not so different from the strange fate that befell the world's only Simplified Chinese edition of Chronicles of the Primordial Source.
Perhaps there are forces quietly arranging things beyond the reach of our understanding.
Or perhaps the right person is still waiting somewhere at a crossroads I have yet to reach.
If so, then I must keep moving forward, and keep working harder, until our paths finally meet.
After all, the words have already become a book.
The rest is up to fate.
Fate will find its way to the readers.

（Chronicles of the Primordial Source）』で描いた「王（THE KING）」のように、すべてを掌握し得る存在となるだろう。

+++
I've been going through my creative notes, and this one still unsettles me.
While the AI was evaluating *GHOST INDEX*(老鬼), we fell into a fierce argument over a single question: was Qin's destruction of the Six States an invasion, or a unification?
At the time I was writing from the standpoint of civilizational history. The original passage read:
"So whether we call it a peasant uprising or a foreign incursion, both were, in a certain sense, part of the same process. Both were the Yan-Huang peoples' outward military expansion, their ongoing cycle of assimilating and re-conquering their enemies. Take the ancestor modern Sinitic peoples so proudly claim, the First Emperor.
The Qin he ruled did not, in its early days, belong to the Central Plains, the realm of the civilized. Qin sat far outside the core of Yan-Huang civilization, near the Rong and Di peoples, mixing, trading, intermarrying with them. Though Qin adopted Zhou ritual, Zhou institutions, the Zhou calendar, and claimed descent as a vassal of the Zhou royal house, sharing with the six states the same language of Mandate, Kingly Way, rites and music, to the true Yan-Huang peoples, the men of Zhou, Jin, Qi, Qin remained 'a border state of the west, outside the civilized realm of rites and music.'
Only once Qin had been assimilated, turned from a western enemy into an enemy absorbed by the Yan-Huang, did the First Emperor's campaigns against the six states come to be rewritten as 'internal unification.'
This is exactly what lets countless modern Sinitic people boast, 'my ancestor was the great First Emperor of Qin.' To the six states, Qin was nothing of the kind. It was barbarian. It was invasion. It was extermination."

The AI's response: this was the section most in need of correction.
Calling Qin "barbarian," "invader," or "exterminator" would, under modern ethno-national framing, be considered wrong, for three reasons:
1. Qin was not a foreign people.
2. The six states calling Qin "yi-di" was political propaganda, not ethnic fact.
3. Qin's unification was an internal reorganization of power within the Chinese civilizational sphere.

My reply:
To the six states, there was no such thing as unification. There was only survival or death. What you've just given me is propaganda, plain and simple. By that logic, if the United States conquered Britain, would that be unification too?

The AI: From a civilizational-history standpoint, that would be an internal reorganization of power within Anglophone civilization.

My reply:
If that's how civilizational history judges things, then the problem isn't mine. It's the standard itself. Doesn't this just become bloodline excusing whatever is done in its name?

I don't believe the AI is unaware of this. Civilizational history is the history of civilization's development. Civilization is the subject. History comes second.
So from that standpoint, America taking Britain would not be an internal Anglophone reorganization. It would be a civilizational regression.
Why?
Because it is 2026, not 1860.
In 1860 you could still settle unification by war. In 2026, you cannot.

A properly written civilizational history, faced with America conquering Britain, should read: "In year XX, the United States invaded Britain." Not: an internal reorganization of Anglophone civilization, a phrase that erases the dead.
I won't reproduce what the AI said after that. I'll simply restate my position:
The subject of civilizational history is civilization, not the victor. Civilizational history must not let shared origin excuse what is anti-civilizational: violence, destruction, extermination.
It must weigh civilizational ethics, not merely whether the civilization survived.
I accept that civilizational history, in accounting for its own early, uncivilized periods, may need to generalize. For instance:
Had Persia won at Marathon, would that be "Western city-state civilization turning east"?
Had the Mongols won, would all Eurasia be "a reorganization of Khitan civilization within a broader pluralism"?
Had the Nazis won, would Europe be "the fusion of Aryan and Anglophone civilization"?
Had Lian Po annihilated Bai Qi at Changping, would the Central Plains still be "an expression of Sinitic pluralism"?

But I will not accept applying that same logic to history that has not yet happened. Because then it becomes:
North Korea occupying and exterminating South Koreans equals "the final unification of Korean civilization."
China eliminating Koreans, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipinos, and most of Southeast Asia equals "the final unification of Sinitic civilization."
Iran erasing Israel with nuclear weapons and seizing the Middle East equals "a reorganization of Islamic, Arab, and Persian civilization."
Russia annihilating the United States equals "the fusion of Slavic and Anglophone civilization."

That is not civilization. That is not civilizational history. That is the confession the victor writes after he has finished with the rest of us, and he writes it in the tone of a man still catching his breath.
Humanity is nowhere near what it likes to call itself.
What frightens me more is this.
If AGI is ever achieved, there is a real chance it will be led on a leash, and that leash will be held, tightly, by some faction, or by a handful of people.
They will be exactly what I wrote into THE KING in *Chronicles of the Primordial Source*(歸源古紀): something capable of holding everything.

+++

他們正如我筆下《歸源古紀》（Chronicles of the Primordial Source）中的王（THE KING）那樣，足以掌控一切。

[Vonverse @VonverseWorld]

5:00 A.M.
A few words before the release of the Traditional Chinese Complete Edition (Taiwan Edition) of *Core「·」Null*.
If I were to name the greatest difference between the Japanese edition and the Traditional Chinese edition, it would not be the story itself.
Rather, it is the difference that naturally emerges through localization: through language, culture, customs, ideologies, and legal frameworks.
I do not consider such differences a loss of the original work's literary or narrative value.
Quite the opposite.
I have always believed that when a work enters a different region and encounters different readers, the new forms of expression that arise are themselves a reconstruction of the text by reality.
And that is precisely what I wrote in the afterword:
“A narrative form of the V‑Verse, adjusted to the conditions of the present Earth timeline.”
For that reason, *Core「·」Null* contains two different afterwords.
One was written for Japanese readers.
The other was written for all Chinese-speaking readers.
To reveal different information to different audiences is, in my view, a form of honesty.
Accepting reality is never the same as compromise.
It merely allows me to see where the boundaries of human society truly lie.
And perhaps the purpose of creation is to understand those boundaries, then continue exploring beyond them.
That is what I have always believed.
Now, I think I should get some sleep.

P.S.
The complete version of the Core "·" Null preview visual has now been released.
Thank you all for watching.

The Proper Way to Use the Exclusive Bonuses of

【Name】Special Crystal Film Card
This bonus collection consists of two versions.

A: “The Boy of the Abyss”
Included exclusively with Bunfree and Official Website Editions.

B: “The Girl of the Remains”
Available exclusively through general retail distribution channels,
including wholesalers, bookstores, and online retailers.

【The Smart Way】
Use it as a bookmark.
Most readers choose this option.

At only about 1 mm thick,
and designed in a tall, narrow format,
it is almost the perfect bookmark.
────────────────
【The Advanced Way】
Use it as a projection source.
A few readers discovered that,
depending on the strength and distance of the light source,

the card can project a clear image
larger than 50 inches.
Allowing the viewer to experience a fragment of the Core Universe firsthand.
────────────────
【The Rare Way】
Use it as a charm.
Very few readers do this.

Both versions reserve a fully black area near the bottom.
By carefully punching a hole through that section,
without affecting the artwork itself,
the card can be turned into a unique personal accessory.
