the AI bubble will accidentally trigger a human renaissance
here's what will happen between now and 2030:
phase 1 (2026-2027):
> everyone automates everything
> productivity goes through the roof
> we celebrate never having to think again
phase 2 (2028-2029):
> mass digital burnout
> people realize they've outsourced their cognitive abilities
> depression rates spike because nothing feels earned anymore
phase 3 (2030+):
> the pendulum swings hard in the opposite direction
> outdoor experiences become the new luxury
> manual skills and human connection become premium
> we start valuing struggle and effort again
the faster we rush toward full automation, the faster we'll crave what makes us fundamentally human
that's what i'm hoping for anyway
We’re making GPT-5 warmer and friendlier based on feedback that it felt too formal before. Changes are subtle, but ChatGPT should feel more approachable now.
You'll notice small, genuine touches like “Good question” or “Great start,” not flattery. Internal tests show no rise in sycophancy compared to the previous GPT-5 personality.
Changes may take up to a day to roll out, more updates soon.
Google Earth Pro's flight simulator is accessible via Ctrl+Alt+A (Command+Option+A on Mac) or the Tools menu. It uses keyboard controls or a joystick to navigate, with a head-up display showing flight data. Requires a compatible graphics card and good internet connection. More details in Google Earth Help.
@ns123abc Honestly, it's scary that someone who should understand AI genuinely believes that what they have is AGI now. It's rather clear, even to the general public, that it isn't. The AI is rather convincing in day to day use, but nowhere near the power of AGI's capacity.
I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over. Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was “Earned Media,” and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Long exposure in the middle of the night last Thursday of the flood waters from a 6ft storm surge right before we left our home at 9:15pm or so. It still came up 27 inches into the house. We lost almost everything and only today are we finally getting the majority of what's left out.
There are a lot of people in the Tampa Bay area hurting with how much damage we have to deal with. Multiple tens of billions of dollars I'd assume just within 10 miles of me. The water was indiscriminate.
#midjourneyV52 is really crisp on details and soft on features for people. It also adds lots of appropriate believable detail with its "zoom out" function.
This evening I've installed #ControlNet as an extension for #automatic1111
These images use OpenPose to duplicate the pose. Still working on using with 2.1 but I'm enjoying seeing what it can do.
