One thing about building in Web3โฆ
You can spend hours working on something and still feel like you havenโt done enough.
Then you look back and realize youโve actually come a long way.
Small wins still count.
Everybody wants to be noticed.
But who is actually putting in the work when nobodyโs watching?
Iโm trying to be better at building than talking about building.
Thatโs the goal.
I learned this the hard wayโฆโฆ
Imagine doing a Web3 job.
You finish the work.
You get paid 3 figures.
Then you realize you canโt actually access the money.
Itโs sitting in a custodial wallet.
Thatโs when I started asking myself:
Who actually controls the money?
You do the work.
You get paid.
You see the balance.
Everything looks fine.
Until you try to move the money.
Then you realize youโre still depending on someone else to access what you earned.
That doesnโt feel right.
And this is one thing about crypto Iโve never fully understood.
We say:
โNot your keys, not your coins.โ
But then we use payment platforms where someone else holds the money we just got paid.
Think about that for a second.
So I started paying more attention to crypto payment gateways.
How they work.
Where the money goes.
Who controls it.
Fast forward.
Iโm scrolling through X.
Then I come across @shieldzcash .
My first thought?
โAnother crypto payment gateway?โ
Letโs see this.
I looked into ShieldZ.
The first thing that stood out:
Itโs non-custodial.
They donโt hold your money.
The customer pays from their wallet.
The funds go to your wallet.
You stay in control.
Simple.
You also donโt need to hand over your private keys or seed phrase.
No wallet connection just to receive a payment.
And ShieldZ currently has:
0% platform fees.
That got my attention.
Then I found something else I liked.
You donโt always have to tell someone:
โSend me this exact coin on this exact networkโฆโ
A customer can pay with one supported asset while you settle in another.
For someone running a business, that removes a lot of unnecessary friction.
And thatโs where I started seeing the bigger picture.
A freelancer getting paid.
A creator selling something.
A Web3 project accepting payments.
A developer building a product.
A merchant accepting crypto.
Different people.
Same problem:
How do I get paid without giving up control of my money?
Thatโs what Iโm interested in testing now.
Iโve been looking deeper into what @shieldzcash is building, and over the next couple of days Iโll be testing the product and exploring different use cases.
I donโt want to just tell you it works.
I want to actually use it.
If youโre building something that needs crypto payments, keep ShieldZ on your radar.
Non-custodial. 0% platform fees. Your wallet, your funds.
