@Darlajeanv @SethAbramson Yes because he needs the full experience of foreign policy and dealing with world leaders directly. He can do for State what he did with Transportation. He's amazing, but his scope so far has been domestic. (And I think that's why Obama appointed Hillary.)

@SethAbramson I was just thinking about this. I love Pete, but he might still be too young and inexperienced. But put him as Secretary of State (imagine him explaining policy on the world stage), or Chief of Staff or something similar, and he'll be really ready for President in 8 years.
