There should be a system where for every day you spend in ICU--in my case 8 of the 13 days I was in hospital--you get 2 days of recovery and strength-rebuilding from the hospital you are in. I was in ICU for 8 days, critical care for 3 more and then a step-down for just 2. So now I am crashing at home without medical support that the hospital said they would set up for me but apparently did not. That does not make sense. We just have to do better for sick people in this country. since there are millions of us. I hope the Democrats put healthcare back on the table for this election.
