District 32 is my home.
We have a chance to change the politics of our community, the borough of Queens, and New York City as a whole. This race is personal to me and we’re overdue for a City Council that represents our values and invests in the people of our communities.
.@NYCMayor announces his new environmental team that will focus on climate change, environmental protection, and environmental justice.
We’re ‘Getting Stuff Done’ for NYC!
@MotherAtSea NYC harbor marine science section uses CTD to sample the harbor. All data is made available on online. Now looking tomake visualization for data going back to 1909. https://t.co/2YFdimOokI
genuinely laughing at all the City Council members tweeting about how we’re not ready for the impacts of climate change, as if they haven’t been voting on hundreds of billions of dollars in city spending & (not) holding oversight hearings & writing laws & such
Viewing today's horrifying fly-over images of Greenland's melting ice sheet, I found myself wondering what would happen to NYC if we now had a Superstorm Sandy https://t.co/gAWuPaPt0e w/high tide, Full Moon + storm surge?

“Focusing on communities that have been historically marginalized and overburdened by pollution and underinvestment in housing, transportation, water and wastewater infrastructure, and health care” is a great initiative!
Today, we issued interim implementation guidance for the Justice40 initiative, a key mile marker on the road to translating @POTUS’ goal — that 40% of the benefits of key federal investments in climate flow to disadvantaged communities — into real on-the-ground impact! 1/4
@MarkLevineNYC A good start is to analyze the 311 complaints during the storm, and identify flood areas. In a map. These areas should be earmark for immediate infrastructure upgrade.
This will happen more frequently as a result of climate change and we are not prepared.Resilience building in flood-prone areas require capacity-building of the community so that people can anticipate, absorb, adapt and mitigate.
@QueensChronicle @Ariola2021 @2021_bella@mikegscala@VoteHelalSheikh @FSingh_NYC “When COVID hit, people locked down in their homes. Every Saturday and Sunday, I went out to Forest Park to hand out masks at a time when nobody could get them. People were afraid to go out, but I’m a civil servant and I felt a duty to serve."
Thank you for covering my campaign!
