We need to encourage and inspire our next generation to flourish, without ever defining or dictating what success looks like. That’s why I’m running with the @vanliberals in the upcoming civic election. Together, we can create a future where everyone has the freedom to thrive.
Love seeing initiatives that make our streets and public spaces more pedestrian-friendly. A big thank you to the @VancouverPD and Special Constables (@RichardsonYVR) for helping create a safe, welcoming atmosphere where people can walk, connect, and enjoy our city. #ItalianDay
This was so much fun! Really enjoyed hearing from residents and working with you @votemichaelwu.
The @vanliberals team, under @kareemformayor’s leadership, is doing the work to ensure citizens are heard, and that good governance and accountability are restored at city hall!
Remember to vote Vancouver Liberals on Oct 17th!
#TogetherWeCan
Door knocking is my favourite part of the campaign!
Today, my daughter, @DrMoiraStilwell , and I knocked on over 300 doors, meeting residents and hearing about the issues that matter most to them.
The momentum is shifting. People are not happy with the status quo and are ready for a new direction.
October 17 can't come soon enough. We will win! @vanliberals@kareemformayor

Elon Musk started his first company, Zip2, with about US$2,000 of his own money and a computer he built himself.
Today, he is the world's first trillionaire.
Whether you like him or not, he has forever changed the course of mankind and our future. I focus on the failures and setbacks he overcame. That's where the real lessons are, and where I draw my inspiration for success. One thing he proved: anything is possible.
A true inspiration. @elonmusk

“From the beginning there’s been one party fighting for workers, students, seniors, small business, and families. That party is @vanliberals. This whole other time Ken Sim has been fighting for his clique of crypto cronies”
Thanks for the great reception. Thanks to our great volunteers. See you at our next event.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They create opportunities for young people, support local families, and help our communities thrive.
The best thing Vancouver can do is get out of their way by cutting unnecessary barriers and red tape. When small businesses succeed, our city succeeds. Investing in them is investing in our future.
Public safety is also essential. Taking a meaningful, long-term approach to public safety will help restore confidence in our neighbourhoods and strengthen our communities. Together, these priorities will help address many of the challenges Vancouver faces.
These are my top priorities, and why I am running for Vancouver City Council. @kareemformayor@vanliberals

“In contrast, Vancouver’s municipal Liberals launched less than a year ago with a clear purpose: to make Vancouver easier to build in, more affordable to live in, and better governed, explicitly for younger residents increasingly priced out of the city.
Vancouver Liberal leader Kareem Allam leveraged a familiar political brand but he paired it with a steady stream of policy proposals. Whether on housing, permitting, renaming Vancouver International Airport, or supporting a Gastown soccer stadium that could keep the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the city, that party has made a sustained effort to explain why it exists.”
For women in post-separation coercive control situations, having a known, trusted, fully empowered peace officer at the one location an abuser can always find you, school pickup, is not a minor thing. The BCCLA's letter, published today, doesn't mention domestic violence once. That silence is its own kind of harm.

Under a Vancouver Liberal government, we will not replace 50m pools with 25m pools.
Today we are committing to a 50m pool at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre, provided shovels don’t go in the ground on this project before the election.
Ken Sim stop construction now! Give voters the choice on October 17th.
#TogetherWeCan
Voter suppression, plain and simple.
Someone is afraid of losing their grip on power and is doing everything they can to gain an advantage. It's undemocratic and goes against core Canadian values.
Democracy is built on respect for individual rights, freedoms, and fair participation, even when we disagree with each other.
Vancouverites will decide once again on Oct 17, this time, vote them out of office.
@kareemformayor@vanliberals are the ones that will continue to respect and represent the diverse views of everyone in our city, democracy works best when every voice is heard.

❌Why was their no inquiry after the polling station debacle during the by-election, where the number of polling stations and advance polling stations was reduced, where seniors and others were required to stand for hours in line to vote, undoubtedly disenfranchising many?
❌Why would the City of Vancouver now reduce any accessibility or assistive measures for the next election?
❌Why did the City of Vancouver fire the returning officer for the next election two weeks ago? Did this reduction in polling station supports have something to do with it?
❌In the last 25 years, the trend of adding more polling stations, more advance polling days, and accessibility measures has been going up—only under Ken Sim’s Vancouver have these measures been going down.
✅This is unacceptable.

Standing by and doing nothing makes you an accessory to the crime.
That’s exactly what ABC is enabling, criminal activities in our city.
Vancouverites deserve better @kareemformayor@vanliberals#vanpoli#bcpoli#Vancouver
Ken Sim you can ban Bitcoin ATMs today. But you continue to allow staff to defy a unanimous council motion to ban them.
In 2018 and 2019, the VPD issued a report to council requesting a ban on Bitcoin ATMs in Vancouver, stating they were likely owned by cartels and used to launder money. In 2023, FINTRAC stated that Bitcoin is the preferred method to launder proceeds of crime from human and drug trafficking.
Five years since the first council motion, we have a mayor who says fighting for Bitcoin is “his hill to die on.”
As a result, the unanimous motion was never enacted, while New Zealand, the UK, and Australia have cracked down on these Bitcoin ATMs.
Money laundering fuels the worst crimes in Vancouver, and our mayor is promoting it.
Lawsuits, spending scandals, insults, skirting rules, broken campaign promises, investigations, special favours for friends of the mayor… every single one has cost you money.
We need real transparency and accountability.
Under Ken Sim and ABC, thousands of Vancouver businesses have closed due to his record property tax increases and terrible permitting practices.
In 2024, 820 Vancouver businesses closed, compared to 257 in the rest of the Lower Mainland. Staggering!
59% of Vancouver businesses say they will close in the next four years if conditions don’t change. Unacceptable.
Ken Sim isn’t fighting for businesses. He’s fighting for a small group of his friends. It’s time for change.
I’m pleased to introduce Devin Clemens as our newest Vancouver Liberals candidate for City Council.
Devin brings 15 years of experience in public policy and grassroots advocacy and is ready to help us build a more affordable, livable Vancouver where people can build their future.
Welcome to the team, Devin.

“Great cities have airports named after their greatest people. We are a great city. We should rename YVR Terry Fox International.”
