Prop 50 threatens our hard-fought reforms to ensure fair elections and keep voters – not politicians – in charge of redistricting.
🚨NEW on State of Gold : “With AI and map-drawing tech, politicians could redraw districts again and again — until your vote doesn’t count at all.”
Cynthia Dai, a Democrat & former Redistricting Commissioner, breaks down the danger of Prop 50.

NEWS: In an exclusive interview with @CNN, @Schwarzenegger tells me that Democrats' plan to redistrict California's congressional districts (Prop. 50) is a "scam" and "a big mistake."
@GavinNewsom wants California voters to temporarily eliminate its independent redistricting committee until 2031 & replace it with new maps drawn by Democrats to help Democrats. The move is in response to Texas Republicans redrawing their lines to help Republicans.
"Two wrongs don't make a right," Schwarzenegger says.
The former Governor is skeptical that California Democrats will ever want to go back to the current, nonpartisan system.
"There's no such thing with politicians and temporary. Have you ever seen a tax that stopped? It's permanent."
Schwarzenegger is urging voters to "vote no on Proposition 50."

Protecting rural voices in California. 🚨🌱
California Farm Bureau has announced its opposition to Proposition 50, a November ballot measure that would eliminate independent redistricting and hand map-drawing power back to politicians.
Farm Bureau leaders warn that Prop 50 would eliminate two rural districts, divide farmland, weaken rural representation and diminish the voices of farmers and ranchers by moving districts to urban centers.
