@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary So which heresy do you believe in? Arianism, pelagiusm? One of the dozens of others? You can discount Catholics all you want, say it doesn’t matter, refuse to admit they existed, but it won’t change history. If you don’t follow a heresy you can thank a Catholic.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary Doesn’t change who they were. Who were they? What was the name of the one Church that existed at that time?
The councils have every bearing on how we understand Jesus. The decisions they made is how we understand Jesus today. As you stated, the ambiguity brought questions.
@Loveof1776 JD Vance attacked him for being corrected. Zelenskyy was right, there have been treaties and promises that weren’t kept. For Vance and Trump to act like Ukraine has never dealt with Russia is asinine and could be used for Russian propaganda.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary Also, those councils were what? What were those people called? Whose monks copied the Bible over and over for generations? What were they called.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary It is clear there was only one Church in the early period. In Acts the disciples are in charge and from their dispense their apostolic authority. By the year 100 that same church is called Catholic, which means universal. In the year 70, 100, 200, 300, 400 all Catholic.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary There were several scriptures and agnostic texts that were rejected. The Catholic Church is the Church that existed since the beginning of the. It is Jesus established church.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary The Church would correctly assemble the Bible, fight every heresy. Those they would do correctly, yet everything else is wrong. If the Holy Spirit wasn’t guiding the Church, you’re saying the Bible isn’t inspired by God through the workings of the Holy Spirit.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary The faulty logic is that Jesus, in his infinite wisdom, existing through all time, would knowingly put his Church, the only thing he left when he ascended, into the hands of people who would stray from Truth. Yet those same people would assemble Truth in the Bible.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary That’s why the councils, starting with acts until today. When all are gathered the decisions are correct. One man can error on his own, where the wisest are brought together then there is no error. The bishops discuss, pray and the Holy Spirit guides them.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary So now Paul is wrong, all the early church fathers are wrong, every Catholic for 2000 years is wrong but you’re right? See, I have no problem deferring to the fact that the Holy Spirit has worked through people and didn’t take a 1600 year break.
@RDog861@PhilHollowayEsq Russia is struggling with Ukraine. If Europe declared war Russia would lose easily. They know this. The threat isn’t the Russian army, it’s the fallout from Nuclear war when Putin would rather take the world with him than admit defeat.
@BasedMikeLee Percentage of combined spending. If I remember correctly it’s supposed to be a percentage of your economy. The US economy dwarfs all these countries.
@drjbanks1 @PM_ViktorOrban@RealCandaceO@realDonaldTrump Do you really think Poland, who borders Russia wants the US to cozy up to Russia? They know they are next after Moldova on the list.
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary He doesn’t contradict Jesus at all. Paul just isn’t very clear when he describes things sometimes. He was writing to a particular crowd and not everyone on earth so many get confused by his words. It takes context to understand.
@seanmdav Why did Russia take all that territory? The US backed down and let them have it instead of pressing forward and grabbing it themselves. Russia made a bunch of proxy governments that they ran. Sound like a plan they’re working on now?
@TyroneBigg25341@praytherosary Or perhaps you were told they didn’t mean what they were supposed to mean and you believed it. Your knowledge supersedes Polycarp?
