I want to play @EASPORTSCollege because I think the game seems really good apart from some big bug fixes with recruiting which we already know are coming… I don’t think it would be hard for EA to revert the anti-consumer changes they made to dynasty and RTG. If it’s only affecting a small percentage of the player base… why is it such a big deal then? EA should make the change and keep microtransactions out of these modes. If you want to have them in ultimate team, fine, I get that… but we don’t want them in our sandbox modes where the whole appeal is making it your world. There is an opportunity to DO THE RIGHT THING. If we don’t take a stand now… when does it end? This is only the first step. Are you not making enough off of game sales and ultimate team? Why try and bleed an extra 1% out of us if this is the reaction? #CFBPlayDontPay
For those who tuned into my CFB streams in previous years & were looking forward to more this summer, I apologize. Unfortunately have not had the time/ability at home to go live like I used to
Haven’t even bought CFB 27 yet tbh, and seeing how EA has turned on its community, I’m going to hold off unless they take micro-transactions out of dynasty #CFBPlayDontPay
The most disappointing thing about @EASPORTSCollege and their reaction to #CFBPlayDontPay is to act like they didn’t change the coach XP progression when they deliberately took out the ways to earn XP faster for free in order to push you to buying the levels faster for real money. This was obviously no accident.
The whole point of dynasty is that it’s “your world”. If you want to change settings to go crazy, YOU CAN. If you want to see what would happen with injuries jacked up to 100, YOU CAN. You should be able to do whatever you want within your own fantasy land for football without having to pay extra for it.
Yes, you can still choose to not pay extra, but even if you argue that you aren’t being forced to pay… you are 100% being funneled into paying extra when coach levels take longer than they did previously, XP overall takes longer to gain, and the options to expedite any of that grind were removed in favor of real money alternatives. It shouldn’t take 25-30 years to max out your coach when most dynasty rebuilds will be completely over within 15 seasons. It’s blatant
EA has responded, but sounds like they’re gonna stand firm for now and double down on the changes with micro transactions
They’re also using creators to push their messaging without making a statement themselves or addressing anything
“the core coach level progression is unchanged from CFB 26” true, but normal is way too slow, and you REMOVED 2 faster settings
They acknowledge “Fast/Faster Coach Progression was removed from Dynasty,” 0 update on a plan to bring it back
ZERO mention of removing XP sliders from Road to Glory either
“continuing to monitor community feedback” basically meaning we don’t wanna make a change because we think it’ll blow over lmao
I can’t believe this is the response the College Football team is making. Do better @EASPORTSCollege #CFBPlayDontPay
If I wasn’t clear enough yesterday, I will never work with @EASPORTSCollege again if they don’t reverse these decisions.
EA’s playbook will be to wait out the backlash. That’s why this conversation can’t stop. And trust me… we’re not the only ones who feel this way. #CFBPlayDontPay
So fucking proud of my dawg @bordeauxyoutube for standing up for his community. I can't believe EA put micro transactions in an OFFLINE SINGLE PLAYER mode lol. These sports game companies have completely lost the plot man. I wish the priority was still making the customer happy.
i don’t like being blindsided by micro transactions and removing features hidden behind all the new shiny stuff
i like the game a lot. the devs did a great job. whoever made the micro transaction decision did not #CFBPlayDontPay
Yeah, removing vital settings + sliders and replacing them fully with microtransactions cannot be seen as acceptable. I was having a blast in dynasty (exponentially more than CFB26) and actually think it’s a good game otherwise, so this is a massive bummer. I know a lot of people don’t believe it but genuinely none of us knew anything about this. Let’s hope EA does the right thing and gives everyone the chance to play how they want. #CFBPlayDontPay
