@TfL a van with a TfL private hire sticker has boxed me in. I can’t use my car, how can I get hold of the driver. I can send photo of tfl sticker privately. I’ve asked several hotels nearby if they knew who the driver is, no luck
The doctor who mends broken brains: why there is room for hope after a stroke or head injury - The Guardian - what an uplifting read, neuroplasticity is utterly remarkable. https://t.co/e9zknFajq8
@calm I’ve used your app for years. I don’t want to answer questions from AI before bed to select a sleep story. I want to be able to search narrators on my own terms. Not everything needs to “improved” by the use of AI. Can you bring the self search button back?
I love that feeling when you are reading a wonderful #book, you don’t want to put it down, but you don’t want it to end either. Probably the best book I’ve read in years, “Theo of Golden” by Allen Levi
Adults can't hit other adults to punish bad behaviour but when it comes to children, astoundingly the law in England and Northern Ireland allows for 'reasonable punishment' - so children are less protected than adults!
There is no justification for physically punishing children, and evidence of negative impact is overwhelming: damaging healthy development, and increasing their risk of experiencing mental health problems and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The law in England needs to catch up with Wales, Scotland and many other countries to uphold children’s rights and give them equal protection from assault.
That's why I've signed an open letter to the Prime Minister calling for an end to the defence of 'reasonable punishment' in England.
The letter, which I've endorsed alongside numerous charities, experts and professionals, is being handed in at Number 10 today.

Shoutout to the #bus drivers, especially on the 137 route. They are doing a brilliant job during the #tubestrike . Negotiating hideous traffic, pedestrians, weaving cyclist, irate passengers, while being friendly & sympathetic. All with limited loo breaks too.
My heart goes out to the children trying to get to school on time today. Many don’t yet have the skills to cope with the stress & the rush. What a hideous start to the day & the new school year while they are still finding their feet. #tubestrike
