I never met Sankarshan Thakur in person. His uncommon name, picked right from amongst the deities of Pancharatra Agama, delighted me. I liked to read his columns and editorials. He had absolute command over language and his style was exceptional. He used allusions, alliterations

and metaphors in his prose with such elegance that it read like poetry. He would often soften his punch before delivery. We became friends on Twitter. I would DM him and he always replied notwithstanding his busyness.
