I have a Joint Account with my Father in Hdfc Bank. As my father stays abroad and just to operate his account I was added as Joint Account Holder. Few Months ago I have open FD for 1,50,000 for 3 Months from my Mobile Banking and now when I Tried to Break the FD @HDFC_Bank

@HDFC_Bank After 3 Months I Cant Able to do it.
I Visited Bank and they said I cant do it by myself as the Acc is Joint my father's presence is must to Break The FD.
I Just want to Ask if both the Joint Holder Needs to be present to Break the FD Then how FD is made with single holder.

5 Years Ago My Father went to HDFC Bank and he wanted to save some part of money through some Deposits. Manager Suggested HDFC Life and Guided my Father and said we have to Make payment for 5 Years after that we can withdraw all Principal money on 6th year

@HDFC_Bank @HDFCLIFE 5th Installment which is about to end in 2 months but they said he cant break 2 policies before 2062 or else we will get only 50% of our principal amount and rest will be loss for us...So i want to ask who wants to put their money for 40 years without wanting to use it.

@HDFC_Bank @HDFCLIFE understand by reading that papers. So my father took that and kept it at home. Every year he pays principal amount.. this is the 5th and last year he need to pay and due to commitments he needed that money so he went to Bank and asked about to break policy after paying

So My Father Took 4 policies covering on Me, Father, Mother & Sister
So Based on Managers Talk my Father took the Policies paid first Principal Amount and they have given my Father Acknowledment where it is not easy for a common man to

27 Lakh Voters were deleted in West Bengal.

These were not 'dead people' or 'bangladeshis'. These were real people who had already appealed to get their votes restored. The Supreme court could’ve delayed the West Bengal elections until the tribunals finished hearing the appeals of these voters. But they didn’t. Only around 1607 voters were restored in time by phase 2 of these elections. Almost every appeal that was heard turned out to be a wrongful deletion.

In any functional democracy, this would not count as a free and fair election where a large section of voters have lost their voting rights. I'm not saying that TMC would've won for sure if they were added back, maybe BJP would still win, but the question is about the fairness of these elections.

Free and fair elections are a spectrum. Ever since Delhi-Maharashtra-Bihar-Bengal, this needle has moved more and more towards being unfair. Each time somehow the opposition parties participate as usual in the electoral process thinking that they can still pull of a win despite the compromised EC, ED, CBI etc. and each time they have been proven wrong after 2024 Lok Sabha. The question is, at what point will they feel that the level of unfairness is so unfair that elections should be boycotted?

I personally feel TMC should have refused to participate in these elections until all those 27 lakh appeals were finished being heard.

Note: The actual deletions were more than 90 lakhs but I’m specifically talking about 27 lakh figure because that’s the number of people that had appealed against their deletion.
