@vakibs Not just for telugus. A must read for any language lover (Indian or other). This wholesale distortion of Indian history via its linguistics is either a well schemed western win or a freak -ve outcome of collective ignorance.
cc @JoeAgneya - jic you haven't read this.
In this thread, I will discuss the causes behind the destruction of the Telugu language, my mother tongue. I will point out certain directions for improving its grammar and usage, ultimately making it a scientific language worthy of use in business, law and technical fields.
History that is not taught in text books. This thread won't make sense to most of us Indians as we grew up on a westernised history diet. Rig veda is both history & spiritual. Folks should read it as history at least. And then the puraaNas.
Most IndoEuropean tribes did not remember where their homeland was by the time they composed literature. But the ancient Zoroastrian text Vendidad give a list of 16 ancestral lands, none of which are in mainland Iran, but most of them are spread over Afghan and & the Indus Valley
Today is Nov. 30, the martyrdom day of king Pazhassi of Malabar.
He was shot dead in the forests of Wayanad in1805.
The king who really defeated Arthur Wellesley, before he won Napoleon.
Big salute to his memories.
@ParulKanse I learnt political science & all we learnt in 3 years of graduation was western democracies, their evolution & current systems.
Then i watched the show Chankya & realized what we missed.
There was literally not a single mention of Indian view of politics in entire curriculum.
The only/most serious mistake they made is the double transaction and duplication of results with Leibniz and Newton. Otherwise, the fraud was a job well done.
This wonderful example of Panini's grammar shows that ideas from linguistics (and in general from the humanities) may be applied to other fields after more than 2000 years.
Give credit where credit is due!

British colonialists in India, however, translated itihasa as history so as to be able to fit India into their own account of world history in a subordinate position. Thehistorian Ranajit Guha remarked that 'in the West, state and historiography cameto form the strategic alliance
QZ says India's "right wing hindus" are "easily" offended when images of Indian gods are used as toilet mats (scroll down the article to see it). https://t.co/rHhwxuzHhv This is cheap stuff and not good journalism, dear @qzindia. cc @pibhomeaffairs@PMOIndia
I've discussed in the video at https://t.co/XrTikO5ebQ how Bharat's Zero got lost in the Arabic world.
Compare the content in Bhāskara II's 1150 CE Līlāvatī against the content in the 1552 Arithmetic of Jacques Peletier.
Bhāskara's rules of Zero were missing 400 years later.
In early Vedic times, Prayaga/Pratisthana was the most powerful city. In Late Vedic era the fulcrum is Hastinapur. Later Rajagrha, Pataliputra, Ujjain, Kannauj, Hampi etc in respective eras.
But when Turks invaded, Delhi became 'eternal capital of India' for 'eminent historians'
The most powerful pic in the Internet now!
Aryan invasion theory has been punctured by the Rig Veda, Harappan archaeology & Saraswathy hydrology. But here is the DEADLIEST blow from Genetics!
The suggested IE('Aryan') haplogroup R1a-M417 has the HIGHEST diversity in South Asia!
