In today's #vatniksoup, I'll introduce a South African-American(!) businessman and social media figure, Elon Musk (@elonmusk). He's best-known for being the wealthiest man in the world, running Tesla Inc., SpaceX & Twitter, and for parroting Kremlin's propaganda narratives.

However you name it - Russian Empire, Soviet Union or Russian Federation, it´s imperialistic goals remain the same. It brings occupation, death and destruction.
In the early morning hours of November 30, 1939, the Soviet Union bombed Helsinki, targeting the Finnish capital in multiple waves, causing significant destruction and civilian casualties. It was the beginning of the Winter War.
13 March 1940, exactly 85 years ago, marked the end of the Winter War. The war of the Soviet Union against Finland.
For 105 days, Finland fought against all odds in the wilderness of harsh winter, facing the Soviet Army.
Outnumbered and with limited resources and limited weaponry, the Finnish defenders held their ground against the overwhelming Red Army, which had expected a swift victory.
The Soviet forces numbered over 600 000 men, supported by thousands of tanks and over 1300 aircraft, while Finland could muster only around 300,000 soldiers, a handful of tanks, and an air force that was a fraction of its opponent’s size.
Despite these odds, Finland’s soldiers—many of them farmers, hunters, and workers—fought with a resilience that stunned the world. It stunned the world but no-one came to help.
Under the strategic leadership of Field Marshal Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim Finland employed innovative guerrilla tactics, utilizing their deep knowledge of the terrain to launch devastating ambushes against Soviet columns. Snipers like Simo Häyhä, known as the "White Death," became legends, while entire units used skis to move swiftly through the snow, striking where the enemy least expected.
But heroism alone could not change the inevitable. When the guns fell silent, Finland had lost over 10% of its territory, including Karelia, Salla, and parts of the Arctic coast. Over 25,000 Finnish soldiers had perished, with nearly 44,000 wounded, while Soviet casualties were estimated to be from 126,000 to over 300,000 dead and wounded. Some Soviet divisions had been virtually wiped out by Finnish resistance.
It was a bitter peace, one forced upon a nation that had fought harder than anyone expected. Finland remained independent, but the scars of war lingered for generations—on the land, on the people, and in their minds.
The scars that will linger of with Ukraine, attacked by the heir of Soviet Union, Russian Federation.
Heroism is enough only when the free world steps up and there will be not just peace, but just peace.
Why isn't thiamine (vitamin B1) added to alcohol to prevent Wernicke–Korsakoff syndrome, like folate in bread?
In 1940, this was attempted. Thiamine was stable in alcohol, but laws prevented it 🚫

Hallitus kohdentaa leikkauksensa väärin, ja tässä on mallia miten voidaan priorisoida koskematta terveydenhoitoon, ja huono-osaisten sosiaaliturvaan.

There’s been more research since that was written. Researchers now have every reason to know that most people most of the time who get “evidence based therapy” do NOT change in a way that makes a difference

Turkki jatkaa maabrändinsä rakentamista päättäväisin ottein. Laaja-alainen maineautoimmuunisairaus. Tuhoaa matkailuelinkeinoa.

@mkoivuka @aleksisjoberg@KariTikkinen Mielenkiintoista keskustelua! Kunpa PTJ-hukka tulisi paremmin viivan alle näkyväksi, innostaisi päättäjiä investoimaan? Kanta-liittymät kankeista järjestelmistä paranevat tosi hitaasti ja mietityttää tuo tietomallin vanheneminenkin.
@KariTikkinen@aleksisjoberg Monimutkaisen terveydenhuollon kaikkiin eri tarpeisiin hyvää yhtä järjestelmää on hankala kuvitella. Olisikohan Kanta:sta kuitenkin säilömään oleellinen potilastieto, jota sitten eri järjestelmillä käpistellä. Toimivimpien järjestelmien markkina, ei monopolia,ei toimittajaloukkua
