The Tamil Nadu government has directed officials to make it mandatory for all private schools to display, on their notice boards, the tuition fee details as fixed by the government. The School Education Department’s move came in response to several complaints that many private schools were collecting huge amounts beyond the fixed norms.
All government and private schools will reopen from June 4. A senior official from the department warned that if any private school charges more fees than the nominated amount, its recognition will be cancelled.
The fee details must be prominently displayed on the notice boards at the main entrance of the school, published on the school’s official website, and printed on the student admission application forms
@jsensarma Beautiful. Could've been a great wallpaper if that ugly line post wasn't there - thankfully no overhead TV/internet cables that plague most of Bangalore!
All superheroes don't wear capes, some wear uniforms.
Amid heavy rains in Bengaluru last night, a differently-abled youth was struggling to cross a road with gushing water. Police Constable Anil stepped in, stopped traffic and then carried him across to safety.
@jsensarma Very good story telling. He has a valid grievance and might have got help. Though I wonder what is stopping CBSE from getting help to stop crushing children's hopes.
I am an idiot subscribing to @TheEconomist. Their defense editor in Babbage "in that sense a naval mine going back to the first world war is highly autonomous because you don’t know what ship is going to come along and blow up." Too much talk isn't a substitute for substance.
Attempted to book #Indane#Gas last week. SMS stated that if eligible, confirmation will come in 4 hours. Agency informed it is only 40 days since last booking and you can apply only after 45 days. Today is 46th day and applied. Waiting for approval still :( #Gas#Shortage
@Kovairains I grew up in Palakkad and actually could see the gap from my house. I remember the heavy hot winds in April and May always coming from the east. It used to coincide with summer school holidays. Towards the end of May, rains start and then wind used to be less but from the west.
@Kovairains I see several projects being done by Situthuli to clean up lakes. Vellakkinar ponds are nicely cleaned and one of them have fenced up and cleaned up area for garden. Maniyamkarapalayam pond was done last year and even now it has water. Hope that kind of work continues. 👏🏽
@Ananth_IRAS It used to look even better in 1980s when steam engines used to take that route (Palakkad - Pollachi and Palani passengers) along the paddy fields of Palakkad, Kollengode etc and then the farms and coconut groves towards Pollachi.
@kotakneo app used to navigate to equities portfolio on open. Now it goes to "Home". Can you add an option for an option to set portfolio as startup screen? @Ashish1Nanda
@minicnair Malayalam and English are on either side, far apart. Those should've been closer to the main board. Also, I'd have liked to have Malayalam in the middle.
@PrimeVideoIN#youngsherlock episode 5 shows up as "copyright expired". Episodes after that play all right. Also, if you stop after an episode, next time resumes from the beginning of that episode and not the next one!
Vibe coding gone wrong with array indexing of episodes? 😁
I still write Makefiles for running anything that I use to generate files when sources are newer. Still a lot more elegant than writing yet another covering script/program. If that makes me old(er) and part of a tribe, I am quite happy to suffer efficiency 😇
