We stand with the @AP which is resisting government pressure attempting to dictate how it writes about the news. This is exactly what the founders had in mind when they crafted the First Amendment.
I just finished this book by @anthonyalmojera, and I absolutely loved it. It was gripping, moving, and very educational, leaving me with an impression of how underappreciated EMTs and paramedics are, both in terms of their pay, and recognition at large. Strongly recommend!
Good piece on involuntary-psych-treatment activist shrink AND great op-ed by @FDNY emergency officer @AnthonyAlmojera, one conclusion: a top NYC priority must be to design & fund a new system of care for the schizophrenic/psychotic. https://t.co/zHPp3dzdrY https://t.co/HVAkOnQBL1
Please read this op-ed by @AnthonyAlmojera, a paramedic w/@FDNY's Emergency Medical Services bureau, on why forcing emotionally disturbed homeless folks into hospitals won't solve our city's mental health crisis. And what would, instead. https://t.co/G6cLSYBvaD
.@AnthonyAlmojera appearance on @Morning_Joe was the first time that the public got an accurate report on NYC street conditions. The only thing left unsaid in his segment was the linkage between for our for profit healthcare system and the misery on the street. @SusanSarandon

If you only read 1 thing today, read EMT union leader @AnthonyAlmojera on why @NYCMayor Adams' plan to involuntarily hospitalize mentally ill people won't address the problem, breaks trust & doesn't address "our neglected health care apparatus." https://t.co/T6aRXto3t2
"Dispatching medical responders to wrangle mentally disturbed people living on the street and ferry them to overcrowded psychiatric facilities is not the answer," says paramedic @AnthonyAlmojera.
Really important perspective on @nycmayor's new directive:

“Rather than looking for a superficial fix, Mayor Adams should turn his attention to our neglected health care apparatus. We must heavily invest in social services, housing and mental health care,” writes paramedic @AnthonyAlmojera. https://t.co/ueVCzeno3A
.@harrysiegel and I spoke with @AnthonyAlmojera for @FAQ
