But before we turn grocery shopping into an international incident, remember that American companies operating in Canada employ Canadians, pay Canadian wages and taxes, buy from Canadian suppliers, and support Canadian communities.
And Canadian companies do business in the U.S. too.
That’s called trade. We’ve been doing it for a while.
This morning, the Coldstream Guards at Buckingham Palace performed a tribute to Dolly Parton.
The last time I remember the guards at the palace honoring the memory of an American entertainer was when they paid tribute to Aretha Franklin after she passed away.
Well deserved!
An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.
David Cochrane: "We're about 20 days away from the 25th anniversary of 9/11, and Donald Trump has imposed a 50% tariff on the country that gave refuge to thousands of its citizens on the day of the worst terrorist attack in American history."
US president, Ronald Reagan, and Canadian Prime Minister, Brian Mulroney, in 1988. Later that year, Reagan said: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies. We should beware of the demagogs who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, our national security, and the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag."
Imagine if Kamala Harris became the first female president of the United States and then tore down the East wing, obsessed about a ballroom, started a losing war with Iran, took away health care and food from children, raked in billions, fired everyone to put her friends in their positions, fell asleep on camera consistently, mouthed off on social media, openly prosecuted people she didn’t like without real cause, started a slush fund to fund domestic terrorists, and generally lied every second of the day. She wasn’t even allowed to laugh.
Dr. Fauci, who saved millions of lives in the USA, is getting treated harsher than all the Epstein perpetrators. USA is fundamentally damaged to its core.
Absolutely this.
Did fauci get a bit in love with his press? Maybe. But EVERY senator is a narcissist. Every senator looks in the mirror and says “good morning Mr President.”
The attacks today were what small men do for a dopamine hit.
Look at Senator Moreno. Won’t defend his own daughter but said the “f” word like he’s some badass and lest you think it wasn’t planned, had all his tweets bragging about it ready to go and will be on @foxnews tonight
🇺🇸 U.S. reporters, take notes. This is what journalism looks like in a free country.
🇬🇧 A British reporter puts it to Musk plainly: London is safer than any American city. No permission asked.
Musk’s response: a meandering detour through Mars colonization and a few grievances about immigrants, none of which touch the actual question.
That’s the difference. One side asks direct questions and expects direct answers. The other treats scrutiny as an inconvenience to be talked around.

Some things.
Very emotional moment from the interview with Zelenskyy. You should watch this.
JOURNALIST: Do you miss being an actor?
ZELENSKYY:?I miss being a good father.
JOURNALIST: When your children were little, what did you tell them the most? What was the thing that you told them the most when they were small?
ZELENSKYY: I love you.
JOURNALIST: And what do you tell them now that they're older?
ZELENSKYY: Oh, I miss you.
JOURNALIST: When was the last time you cried?
ZELENSKYY: I will try to do it after our interview. No, I mean this, between us. I'm a normal man and then there are a lot of different moments, between us, almost each day, a lot of losses on the battlefield and civilians, and there are absolutely crazy attacks on our people.
And I'm just, it's… I mean, It's very difficult really, when I give orders (medals). I said about it. It's always difficult for me when I give orders (medals) to the mothers and fathers, who lost their children. In such moments, really, I often cry.
JOURNALIST: Are you a hero?
ZELENSKYY: No.
JOURNALIST: So who is your hero?
ZELENSKYY:?My hero? My children, my army, our army, and Ukrainian people. So I'm a part… I'm also a Ukrainian, so I'm a part of our nation. But now our nation, I think, that our nation is absolutely heroic.
I know most of the people who follow me love Canada or have always believed that Canada and the U.S are the best of allies. Thank you for that.
This administration will ultimately leave and I do have hope the relationship will be good when my kids are adults.

Canadians landed on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, 6 June 1944, and helped begin the liberation of Western Europe.
Too many motherfuckers today just have no idea of what came before them and who helped save this planet.
