Our 3rd graders had a great cultural learning experience today! The amazing storyteller, poet, and author, Granddaddy June bug, came to McDeeds and told stories or inspiration and encouraged students to find their PURPOSE be PATIENT have COURAGE and be CONFIDENT. @Molly_Capps

Tried a new vocabulary activity with my kids this week and they were begging for more words! We are reading about the polar regions so students were partnered and given a word to define using each letter of the word! I was so impressed with what they came up with! @Molly_Capps

Each group were put into groups and given a passage to choral read together then find the main idea and supporting details. They then had to collaborate to present their main idea and details. I’d say I have some pretty creative students! #makingreadingfun #teamwork @Molly_Capps

We had a little fun building words with suffixes today. I was so proud of the teamwork I was seeing and how well they were interacting with each other to check their words. They didn’t want the activity to end when the timer went off!#vocabularysurge #wordparts @Molly_Capps
