I think I wore right socks to the Senate Ed Prek-12 Committee considering private school vouchers. It is really an opt out of public schools tax rebate. Millionaires will get a tax rebate for sending their kids to private schools, taking $4 BILLION out of our public schools.

Interesting to see Florida's universal-voucher supporters cite special-needs children as beneficiaries - since Florida allows these publicly funded schools to flat-out refuse to serve children with disabilities.
Governor now wants 8 year term limits for school board members and partisan elections to basically get rid of current members over time and make public education more partisan. This goes far deeper than just culture wars -- this is an educational power grab.
