On the morning of July 29, 2025,
immediately after the ceasefire took effect, the Thai armed forces illegally arrested Cambodian military personnel. As of September 4, 2025, they have been detained unlawfully for 37days.

Survey, Marking and Clearance cluster munitions: in the past 5 days war, #Thailand has used the #clustermunitions by fired through 155mm. Each 155mm shell contains 56 M-46 cluster sub-munitions. All unexploded cluster sub-munitions are very high risk and M46 can affected large areas and has an immense threats by hanging on top of trees and houses, on the ground and in the water. Its vital to note that the International Treaty of Cluster Munitions has entered into force since 2010 with 123 countries jointed this convention.

The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Thursday, 14 August 2025, has coordinated the Interim Observer Team (IOT) led by COL NAZLEE BIN ABDUL RAHIM, Defence Attaché of Malaysia to Cambodia, comprising representatives from 6 countries (Brunei, Indonesia, Lao, Myanmar, Philippines, and Vietnam), both resident and non-resident, with the total of 7 members, departing for various actual sites in order to observe first-hand on the border security situation that directly impacted by during the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict as follow:

1. Battambang Province (Military Region 5)
2. Banteay Meanchey Province: Poipet International Border Checkpoint, O’ Bei Choan Border Checkpoint (ChokChey Village) and Boeung Trakoun Border Checkpoint
3. Preah Vihear Province: An Ses Border Checkpoint

It is worth noting that this mission stemmed from the outcomes of the Special Meeting held on July 28, 2025, in Putrajaya, Malaysia, and the Extraordinary Meeting of the Cambodia–Thailand General Border Committee (Extraordinary GBC Meeting) was concluded on 7 August2025, which reaffirmed the important of the IOT deployment.

The Ministry of National Defence reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding the ceasefire agreement and firmly committed to the principles of international law, the peaceful resolution of disputes and maintaining its sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs.

A heartbreaking footage of Cambodian refugees fleeing their homes in the midnight to escape renewed threats of armed aggression by Thailand. These young children struggle to eat rice from bowls while traveling on carts along the road to safe place in Oddor Meanchey province.

These boys and girls should not have to suffer like this. Right now, they should be full from a good meal, fast asleep, and waking up in the morning to wash and get dressed for school. But their current situation is far from normal.

A ceasefire is already in place. The Cambodian side has strictly adhered to it and desires peace—working diligently to resolve the situation based on legal principles, believing that the Thai side will also respect the ceasefire agreement reached on July 28, 2025, and uphold the spirit of the extraordinary meeting of the Cambodia–Thailand General Border Committee GBC held on August 7. Cambodia calls for continued peaceful and lasting efforts to bring normalcy and security to the people of both countries.

Thai Military Forces Set Up Barbed Wire in Ou Beichoan Commune on 12-13 August: Defence Spokesperson

(Phnom Penh): Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, Spokesperson for Cambodian Ministry of National Defence, reported that on 12-13 August 2025, Thai paramilitary forces and Thai border forces inspected the area in front of the Chouk Chey checkpoint. They set up barbed wired and placed tire in Chouk Chey village, Ou Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province in Military Region 5.

According to the spokesperson, Cambodia demands that the Thai side immediately and unconditionally hold all actions that violate ceasefire and the spirit and consensus reached at the GBC extraordinary meeting, particularly Point 2 and Point 4.
