Immense honour to deliver the first Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Lecture at INST, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, today.
Reminisced the early IGMDP years, building five missiles under Dr Kalam’s leadership, creating RCI as a world-class laboratory, and setting up the missile test range at Chandipur. His vision and thinking continue to guide our approach to problem-solving. Highlighted the current state of advanced technologies and the future of defence landscape in India.
INST is set to emerge as a leader in the nano-domain with focused research, towards realising Aatmanirbhar Bharat 🇮🇳.
@INSTMohali
Today, on the death anniversary of our mentor Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Missile Man of India and People's President, we still hear his quiet strength.
He taught us that true leadership means building a self-reliant India through science, courage, and the power of young minds.
Sir, your vision of technologically strong and prosperous Bharat 🇮🇳 lives on in every innovator who dares to dream beyond limits.
We carry forward the journey you began🙏🏻💐

@g_satheeshreddy Your presence and powerful speech inspired both faculty & students today.. you are a living example of how students of ‘ not so pedigreed’ engineering colleges like ours have contributed to the growth of our country in the fields of Science and Technology .🫡
Standing today as Chief Guest at the 80th anniversary of my alma mater, the College of Engineering, Anantapur (now JNTU Anantapur), filled me with deep pride and quiet emotion.
Releasing the commemorative postal stamp brought out by the Department of Posts felt like holding a small piece of our shared history in my hands.
Seeing senior professors, fellow alumni, and bright young faces together reminded me why this place still feels like home.
My hope is simple and clear. By our college centenary in 2046, this college stands among Bharat's 🇮🇳 finest engineering institutions. I have urged the College to join hands with alumni and draw up a clear, year-by-year roadmap to make that vision real.
The journey begins now. Godspeed!!!

It was a proud moment to deliver the plenary talk and inaugurate the exhibition at the IEEE Space 2026 Aerospace & Defence Conference in Bangalore today.
The impressive display of cutting-edge technologies by industry substantiates Aerospace as the backbone of India’s defence sovereignty.
We must provide thrust to our #ResoluteStrides building world-class capabilities in drones, missiles, fighter aircrafts and space systems, while pioneering breakthrough, first-of-its-kind technologies. This will ensure India’s future as a truly #Atmanirbhar nation and a global power in aerospace and defence.

It was a privilege to be the Chief Guest at the 80th anniversary celebrations of University College of Engineering Kakinada, an institution with a remarkable legacy of shaping leaders and innovators, including six Padma awardees such as Dr E. Sreedharan.
Addressed the gathering of principals and faculty from JNTU Kakinada-affiliated colleges, on the National Education Policy, the transformative impact of emerging technologies, and the critical need for continuous faculty upskilling in the deep-tech era.
Wish the enthusiasm and commitment of the gathering, that included distinguished alumni, translates into greater achievements and laurels for the institution in the future. Best wishes!

This is a truly historic achievement in our nation’s nuclear energy journey. India has entered the 2nd stage of its three-stage nuclear power program with the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam achieving criticality.
Knowing the immense technical complexity involved, I heartily commend and congratulate our scientists and engineers for their exceptional commitment and dedication towards success of this mission.
This milestone makes India only the second country in the world to operate a large-scale fast reactor, a critical step towards long-term energy security and a self-reliant, sustainable Viksit Bharat.
Heartiest congratulations to the entire team at DAE and BHAVINI for this monumental success. 🇮🇳

#OTD in 2019, India scripted history with #MissionShakti - the maiden successful #ASAT test.
A moment of immense pride as our scientists, industry partners and visionary leadership of the Nation came together in perfect synergy to demonstrate our technological prowess to the world.
DRDO's precision strike enabled India to join the elite club of nations with anti-satellite capability. This was Atmanirbhar Bharat in action.
Saluting the unstinted support from Leadership and the dedication, and brilliance of our scientific fraternity that strengthen India's defence and space capabilities.

The delay in commercialising GM mustard after regulatory clearance in 2017 may have cost the country up to ₹30,900 crore in lost output, higher imports and missed farm gains. #GMcrop
