You’re taking the Pentagon’s global military spending and pretending it was a NATO invoice. It wasn’t. The US share of NATO common funding was about 22% before and is ~15% now.

@KWojczal Strategicznie to dalej niewiele zmienia. Trump mówi, że cieśnina jest otwarta, tymczasem ruch jest znikomy. Znakomita większość tego co przepływa porusza się irańską "bezpieczną" drogą - płaci haracz, rośnie koszt ubezpieczeń.

If the US starts a war with Iran, European countries are fully entitled to refuse airspace or participation. That is sovereignty, not betrayal.

@Matthew1534836 @shanaka86 You’re mixing up two completely different things. US pays about 15% of NATO’s direct budget, roughly the same as Germany. What you’re referring to is overall US military spending, most of which is for America’s own global military posture, not a bill paid to NATO or to Europe.

@PferdLawroff @clashreport This is not Poland fixation dictating Ukraine’s history. This is the normal logic of EU accession. Croatia had to reckon with its past and extremist nationalism, North Macedonia had to resolve its dispute with Greece. Ukraine, will have to address the UPA issue with Poland.

@KWojczal To zbyt duże uproszczenie. Ormuz to nie tylko ropa dla Chin, ale też ~1/5 światowego LNG, inne produkty paliwowe, LPG, petrochemia i hel powiązany z gazem z Kataru. Wyjątki dla Chin i Indii nie unieważniają globalnego kryzysu cen, frachtu i ubezpieczeń.

Otwarcie Ormuzu? Odcięcie eksportu ropy? Presja negocjacyjna? Symboliczny pokaz siły?
Bez odpowiedzi na to analiza „najłatwiejszego desantu” jest trochę niepełna.
