@TrxgikS Math isn't hard, but doing the right math, CLEARLY IS, as you've so aptly demonstrated.
Data doesn't lie, but using the wrong data, or making an incorrect correlation, will lead to an inaccurate conclusion.
And you are hell-bent on misrepresenting that data every time
@TrxgikS This is exactly why I say you're an idiot.
"every core player uses it" is not the same as "all players use it".
This isn't about being miserable, it's about understanding numbers and acknowledging the size of the audience beyond your biased sample size and in-group.
@TrxgikS Also, this you? What about this?
You talk nonsense from the start, and every time you moved the goalpost and reframed your argument to something else. (and somehow still managed to be wrong) Here's your stupid prize. Enjoy 🥇
@TrxgikS You unironically used Ironforge as a benchmark for the entire population of the game. That is to say all the people that are not max level.
You really are that fucking stupid. There's no argument to be had here. I'm talking to someone whose only neuron is malfunctioning
@TrxgikS Didn't realize I had to clarify even this but I was referring to EVERY VERSION OF CLASSIC, INCLUDING BETAS AND CHINESE VERSIONS
Even under the most favorable analysis it has never been even close to 50% of the userbase
Now are you going to quadruple down or take the L already?
@TrxgikS@tomkektv@frogpitgaming It's not JUST classic you Neanderthal. It's all of WoW across all versions and all of the years the data is recorded. Questie is not a partitioned add-on. Every time you DL it in ANY version, it counts towards the same ID. "maybe do your research" Sit down clown
@TrxgikS@tomkektv@frogpitgaming It’s irrelevant because those are downloads not people numbnuts. Every time you update an addon or reinstall it that counts as a new tick on the counter. That number is a inflated several orders of magnitude
And as usual, it's not consistent across regions/accounts. My 20+year-old account with tens of thousands of played hours in WoW didn't get it
Instead they'll collect feedback from people that are most likely to give them the feedback they want to hear.
I.e pointless yet again
There is a new survey on the https://t.co/Ijw6vh3DP8 Launcher for WoW: Forever, and players can give Blizzard their opinions on a few select topics!

Build your game based on your EXISTING target audience, not the one you hope/need to reach to justify your project getting greenlit
if you get more people in, AWESOME, you're now MORE successful. If you don't, you still get to keep the lights on thanks to your existing audience
This was the primary criticism from the start that people vehemently tried to deny and ignore.
You don't make a 2-400+ million dollar game for a niche audience.
I'm not a fan of repurposing the game, nor do I think it'll work, but this was inevitable given the genre appeal
The platinum wasn't difficult. It was TEDIOUS.
The minigames were poorly balanced, cheated, or had bugs, making the process of getting many of the achievements, especially around the mini-games a pain in the ass to get.
You'd get burned out of the game before you could get it
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Platinum Trophy was criticized by some players for being too difficult, and the developers now want to make things more accessible in the next game.
Director Naoki Hamaguchi admitted the team underestimated how many players wanted to unlock it.
“We may have underestimated” how many players wanted the Platinum Trophy in Rebirth.
For Final Fantasy 7 Revelations, the devs want to make the Platinum easier to earn. Hamaguchi expects around 20% of players, or possibly more, to unlock it.
I’m noticing a trend in making the games more easy and accesible, I don’t think is a good idea when devs try to please everyone, they can lose the game's identity.
@liv_revna@ALegendaryDrops Not to be that guy but, that’s exactly what we did in Hyjal last time, as well as in other places like silithus and EPL back in vanilla. As long as it’s a strained collaboration and not friendly cooperation it’s ok
@_ShinySilvery@DestinLegarie That quote doesn’t help.
People are still playing games (not theirs) and making money (not them)
Not to mention the unsustainable growth post covid. The chicken is simply coming home to roost.
Every dumb decision has an expiration date, sometimes it’s just further away
Good thing I play my games via GoG, Steam and Nintendo Switch so I never have to worry about this.
And if somehow this does end up there, I'll just go back and play my backlog and older games.
Microsoft has filed a patent for ads that could interrupt games after boss fights, cutscenes, quests and multiplayer rounds
Players would receive credits granting temporary game access, while watching an ad would award another credit to let them resume
@S14deane I'm jaded so I won't pretend this changes anything after all these years.
That said, it's a nice start and a proper gesture of good will.
If the decisions continue to trend in the same direction, I look forward to the future.
I desperately want my cynicism to be proven wrong
@discord Everyone AT discord, not ON. Let's not get it twisted. Most users will tell you this is stupid, pointless, and that you can't be trusted with our data.
But sure, let's pretend everything is sunshine and rainbows. That'll fix everything
@terrenceviz@KakarottaLeah It's not essential to RPGs IN YOUR OPINION.
Even IF I was charitable and say you're not wrong, it's not essential for ALL RPGs.
Sometimes, it is integral to the experience and people need to take a hint and not buy a game that's not for them, only to complain it's no for them
