@pudlasz I'm under the Old Julian calendar, I know today we don't celebrate the feast of the Holy Cross, but I thought it's a nice video so I thought of sharing it anyways :)
The wrath of God is mostly directed toward proud and unreasonable people. Do not imitate them, but according to the word of the holy Apostle Peter, humble yourself under the strong hand of God, so that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your sorrow upon Him, for He cares for you. And according to the word of Saint Isaac the Syrian, '...keep always in mind those who endure the greatest sorrows and indignation, and you will bear your own insignificant, small sorrows with thanksgiving and joy.'
St. Anthony Optinsky
Let your soul abide with the Lord at all times,
and let your body abide on earth like a statue.
Always stand upright before the face of the Lord.
Abba Antony the Great (+356)
It is truly meet to bless you, O Theotokos, ever-blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God. More honorable than the Cherubim, and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim, without defilement you gave birth to God the Word. True Theotokos we magnify you!
โThe Holy Fathers...said that we must endeavor to perform every task...from the heart because feelings come from the heart, not from the head. We think with the head, but when everything proceeds from the heart, this is a concentration of all the powers of the mind in the heart."
@pluckysalek Amen, that's what I love about Orthodoxy, if you attend Church regularly, you will understand services, even if they are in different language. (except readings and the sermon of course)
