That's nice but as an Austrian I can assure you that our team is not going to beat Spain. Not in 10 years.
Why you ask?
Not because I'd rule it out per se IF there existed an actual defense and they could produce some tempo offensively. The only reason we find ourselves in the round of 32 is because for some strange reason we are scoring with the few chances we are able to create. But that's also a consequence of the opponents not being that strong or else we would have punished like in the Argentina game.
Doesn't give me pride to say this but Austria's development from last Euro Cup to now is a carbon copy of Germany's.
@ChelsElaina Seems one can't rely on the good old virtues that the Germans had. Somebody else's got finish the job then. Worst case: Argentina in the finals.
I hate to be the bearer of unpleasant news but Brazil is meanwhile part of a group of teams that have lost a lot of quality over the years. I mean they used to be a powerful force. It was virtually impossible to talk about who wins the world cup and not name Brazil...
@stbe84@JarrodRodrigue1@ph_singer Unfortunately that's where you fail to understand my fellow Austrian. None of these assessments is reality. And the best about it is you don't have to believe me, it's evidenced by the fact that different ratings have different rankings.
@stbe84@JarrodRodrigue1@ph_singer Ich würde nicht mal in Wien wohnen wollen wenn man mir eine Penthouse Wohnung schenkt. Man müsste das schon mit Waffengewalt erzwingen.
