My submin M1378 hit Mach 3.8 on its way to 70k ft before the nose cone collapsed. At least it made some nice mach diamonds.

@_pointyendup @AlexanderPatrus It’s made from nine machined aluminum parts and held together with some internal screws. It’s black from a high-emissivity ceramic coating. The design was inspired by the Gold Chain Cowboy fin can because it’s pretty much optimal for this flight regime.

@Pad33space Hardwired ethernet cable, COTS relay board, switches, and a LabJack T4 for data. Never had it fail on me for firing/launching liquids. Don’t really need anything fancy to get the job done.
